Tuesday, August 12, 2008. SW Colorado Classics Part 2: Los Pinos. On June 20th, 2008, Mr. Eli Loper and I met up with Will Rawstron, Rolf Kelly, and Tim Kenton for a 3 day expedition into Los Pinos. We hiked our fully packed boats 8.5 miles over Weminuche Pass and paddled the 20 or so miles out with a few major portages. Good times. Working our way to the headwaters. Will unphased by the hike. Monday, March 24, 2008. Wind River Race '08: III-IV. Long boats, playboats, cats, and rafts all came out to race the upper Wind River on Easter Sunday. Joe Stumpfel warms up his Wavehopper while Rob Virostek looks on. Joe easily took 1st place with a time under 20 minutes. Austin Rathman keepin' it real in a sea kayak while Nate Bell is rolling the Corsica. The long boaters fightin for an early lead. ORT coming in hot to the finish line. All these rafts and no carnage? Shootin' the shit after a fun race.

Monday, May 19, 2008. A couple days on the South Shore of Lake Superior. After getting some high water action on the North Shore some of the crew headed over to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan on the South Shore of Lake Superior for the annual Jim Rada Memorial Race on the Presque Isle. We ran the final mile of the Presque which has a few nice waterfalls and finishes with a big water rush called the Zoom Flume. Kiffy giving Manabezo the elbow flick for a little extra air time. Tuesday, April 15, 2008. Canyon Creek Race Weekend: IV-IV. The crowd enjoying the sunshine at the finish line. Boofing to the finish. Paddling the flatwater to the takeout. After a night of partying there was a waterfall huck contest off of Sunset Falls. Nick keeping it real and repping the midwest in an OC1. Friday, September 26, 2008. The Animal race is nothing short of just that. an Animal race. If you want to win this one you better drop everything and just go. never stop, not even to look back. The mass start reminded me of motocross racing, everyone charging forward for the hole shot. Tons of fun and great competition. I ended up with a time of 55:28 and 6th place in slalom. After flying in from California, Andy McMurray and I loaded up and took off to West Virginia to nock off some of the rust built up from the winter. John McConville Mill Creek Falls. 7 days, 9 rivers, 11 sections. and on heck of a "Warm Up" for the Midwest creek season off the shores of Lake Superior! Saturday, March 22, 2008. West Prong / Raven Fork. The past few days of boating were epic! Great Falls, West Prong, Raven Fork, Brave Wave. I'm still coming out of shock after running the Raven Fork for the first time. It all started after a perfect storm on Wednesday. Rock island started spilling Wednesday morning so we got to huck the falls and play in the hole at about 7,500 cfs. Great fun but it was only the start to my epic weekend. Wednesday, January 28, 2009. From tacos and oranges, to pinecones and ice sickles. I arrived in South Lake Tahoe few weeks ago, got a job with SharpShooters Images shooting photo on the Heavenly ski hill. My office is at 10,000 vertical feet and my briefcase has a Digital SLR in it. Fun place to live if you like outdoor winter sports. Looking back at the photos from Mexico I remember how exciting our trip was. Rio Alseseca Road Side Section:. Then she would peel out of the edie and disappear over the edge.
