All About the Berg Fam.: Medora!
http://patandvalberg.blogspot.com/2015/07/medora.html
One of my favorite spots in North Dakota is Medora. It has been a few years since we stopped at the famous, tourist trap, and the kids didn't remember it - so we were able to meet up with Pat's parents for a day/evening and take it all in on our journey to North Dakota. Here are the pictures to go with our stay. Checked in to the ol' Badlands Motel. It was rough on the outside, but all remodeled inside. Fun! The best shooting game - just like the cowboys did! And Grandpa Wes and Amiah! Or all of them!

Winter Carnival 1st Weekend. Lots of people {they est. 30K per day} for Winter Carnival to capture some of the winter beauty and see the amazing sculptures! The Carnival starts with a parade on the first weekend. So excited to walk Drake to the parade. The streets are lined. Crazies pushing shopping carts (and trying to throw candy on the 2nd floor). Amiah's friend Andie found us! Drake had a nap during the parade. Walking on the frozen lake always a highlight. And strolling through the vendor food court.

It's always bitter sweet to leave the family for work. What makes it better is good company, good locations, and a quality conference. I headed to the Solution Tree summit in Anaheim for 4 days with Jenn, Andy, and Aaron. We had a great time and didn't seem to sit still much. {And yes, we did learn a lot too}! 1st night out at House of Blues in downtown Disney! A picture for Cooper at Legoland! And just so my family would believe it I really went on the California Scream Roller Coaster! It was 7 AM and s...

Sadly, this was our first camping trip of the season. Once we got there it was so relaxing and worth it. Even the kids kept saying, why don't we do this all the time? We all loved our time away (and it was the perfect way to celebrate our anniversary). The boys kayaked through this channel out to Hazard Lake. Amiah and I hiked up some great rocks and had some quite time on the top! Posted by Valerie Berg. Out on the boardwalk: Cassie, Amiah, Savannah, Alex, and Gracie. Megan wasn't able to come. It was our first time without the Thompson's with us in McCall so we were a little unsure what to do. The friends we invited up were not able to come so instead of feeling bad for ourselves, we ventured up to Brundage to ski in the morning and then joined the Horning's to watch the BSU Fiesta Bowl game. We then all decided to fondue together and join our families. Needless to say random plans don't always work well in our favor. Here's to a great 2015! Amiah, Kinley, Kyler, and Cooper. And Snow Beauty Ki...

Winter Carnival Closing Ceremonies. We ventured up the 2nd/last weekend to participate in the closing ceremonies/fireworks and enjoyed a fun night out with Liz and Louis while eating some vendor food and just enjoying the HUGE outdoor fire! Getting ready at the vendors. 12 pallettes went into the fire pit. And then a bed! Lots of smiles by the fire! And another amazing fireworks show! It was like spring as we left today and arrived home to nearly 70 degrees and all sun! Winter Carnival Snow Sculptures!

All About the Berg Fam.: Just me and my little boy ~
http://patandvalberg.blogspot.com/2015/08/a-week-with-cooper.html
Just me and my little boy. Pat headed to Boise for the state school administrators conference (I elected to pass on it this year and just work) which left Cooper and I on our own. We kind of enjoyed our week of adventures! We had date nights at Sushi, Ice Cream Alley, Stacy Cakes, Bistro, Crusty's, and the Snow Cone shack! So much fun, but back to reality soon! Being silly with his 2 lemonades! Hung out with the Schmitt's at Crusty's one evening! Kami had to check out the lemonade glasses. 2nd Grade Age 8.

I ventured to Vegas with a few Principals from Middleton to attend the Solution Tree Leadership Summit. We arrived just in time to participate in the 'big' arrival of Mariah Carey.{way too over-rated} and of course we had no idea this would be going on at The Caesar's Palace while we stayed there. The arrival of Mariah. A truck for every #1 album she produced. I hate gambling, but I got peer pressured to throw in $20.00. Here's my pay out. I refused to walk away with zero. :).
