http://g-in-ghana.blogspot.com/2008/07/july-17th-blog-post.html
Monday, July 21, 2008. July 17th Blog Post. Well looking at the calendar today I realized to my surprise that I have only 31 days left here in Salaga. Almost exactly one month - though I think I will be much closer to that by the time I am able to post this! Next week I am heading out to the Makango area, part of our District, to spend some time in a village. I am planning on spending five days with a local family to experience the realities of rural life in Ghana - yes, mud hut and all! I am all ears!

Going from Canada to Ghana: August 2007
http://canada2ghana.blogspot.com/2007_08_01_archive.html
Going from Canada to Ghana. Wednesday, August 29, 2007. On my second day at work, I showed up, was ushered onto the back of a motorbike and promptly sent off into the bush. Piloting the motorbike was Janet, a wonderfully kindhearted mother and extension agent/WIAD (Women In Agricultural Development) officer, and taking the lead in another motorbike was Zack, the district's extension officer. I was standing under a tree full of ripe mangoes! Was it that food from the morning? Was it the mango I ate? By th...

Going from Canada to Ghana: Savanishing

Going from Canada to Ghana. Wednesday, July 18, 2007. Their huge forms lumber in the dust, pacing idly. The ground murmurs and softly trembles beneath their incredible mass. Monoliths, they dominate the landscape. Suddenly excited and impatient, one pulls forward from the herd and bellows a shrill blast. Ears ringing, the ground seems to whimper in response. Growling like thunder, the bus begins to lumber through the station. The people really seem to rely on the seasonal rains. This is a major probl...

http://g-in-ghana.blogspot.com/2008_06_01_archive.html
Friday, June 27, 2008. June 27th Blot Chunk! Well it is late June and we are officially half-way through our placements here in Ghana. which means the mid-placement retreat! And some great reflection and training. I will be able to post once again on our return trip so don't fret, there is more to come! Process to create, so I'm pretty happy that I was allowed to participate, as sometimes it can be difficult to involve yourself in work when everyone wants to treat you like a guest, even after two months!

I'm a civil engineering student at the University of Manitoba living in Ghana for four months (from May to August 2007) for an internship with Engineers Without Borders Canada. Monday, July 30, 2007. Not just the good part 2. Now, onto today's stories. I just keep thinking to the small boy. How his life will be changed because one day he decided to play football and fell badly. That he won't be able to do so much because of a bad decision from his parents and a juju man that didn't know how to se...In a ...
