Feeding The Bull
.: December 2009
http://feedingthebull.blogspot.com/2009_12_01_archive.html
Thursday, December 31, 2009. Financial and Food Storage Security for Individuals and Families. Fantastic Idea Patti and Dave! The most important information I can give anyone is to store food and fuel for one year. This will assure you can still take care of yourself and family if you lose a job or are financially hurt in anyway. We have a piece of mind knowing that we can feed our family if anything happens whether it is financial (The recession we are all experiencing). Class in 2008 and train quarterl...

Tuesday, December 29, 2009. Are You Ready For 2010. While in New York. Last week on a family vacation I was thinking of the upcoming year. After some careful thought we decided to create a blog for 2010 that offers advice for all kinds of ways to get ahead financially and really make 2010 a great year. This blog will be devoted to sharing what we know in our circle of influence, family and friends to become better prepared financially. (Perhaps a lot of boring stuff for our younger generation.). Welcome ...
.: Sales Tax Deductions
http://feedingthebull.blogspot.com/2012/01/sales-tax-deductions.html
Tuesday, January 17, 2012. Yes, sales tax deductions are alive and well through 2011 tax years. The IRS requires that you make a choice between writing off your state income tax or sales tax. For those of you that live in Texas or other states that have no state income tax this is an easy choice to make. However, If you are required to file a state income tax be sure to look into your states available deductions. They may allow for sales tax deductions. So how much do you pay a year in sales tax? Welcome...

Thursday, January 14, 2010. With all the talk this year on health care I thought I would share a little bit on some things that can help in medical coverage. For many years I have enjoyed very good medical care from my employer and haven't had to shop around for medical coverage. Of course times have changed and Patti and I are both self employed. Corpus Christi, Texas. Patti and Dave Alexander. Good article Dave. We have an HSA Savings account too. It’s nice to be able to include the over ...Welcome to ...

Padre Island Living: February 2009
http://padreislandliving.blogspot.com/2009_02_01_archive.html
Sunday, February 22, 2009. Dave and I just got back from the vacation of a life time. Jana and David Badger suggested we go to Costa Rica for some canopy tours and hikes in the tundra. Since Jana and David are never wrong, we took their advice and went to La Fortuna and Monte Verde. Our first morning began with a fishing trip on Lake Aernal at 5:30 am. The night after rafting we decided to take a trip around the other side of the volcano to view all the action. Since EVERYONE had made a big deal abou...

http://padreislandliving.blogspot.com/2011_02_01_archive.html
Saturday, February 19, 2011. January 2011, Patti and I with kids and grand kids went to Leakey (Lakey) Texas to a cabin for a couple of nights. Patti won this trip at a American Heart Association auction and got a great price on our trip. What beautiful country this was to get away from the noise! Grand kids really loved the simple pleasure of playing on a see saw. We did too! We went to Ga. And had a great time hiking a trail up to a small cave and around down to the Frio River. Breyton waits for he turn.

Thursday, October 2, 2008. It was wonderful to meet my Cousin John Alexander for the first time ever. Seems unusual to have a cousin that I've never met but as we know that Uncle Albert and Aunt Thelma lived there several years while Albert worked for Bank of America as VP over his division. Thrilled to have an opportunity to have him stay in our home. He made terrific Grandma Alma's Taco's for dinner one night and as usual they were a big hit. Caylah even like them! Feeding the boys
Sunday, July 19, 2015. Mustard and herb-crusted lamb shoulder. Again, this is one of those "non-recipes" that I have :). I used a 4-lb boneless lamb shoulder here. 1 heaping tbsp. whole grain mustard. 1/4 cup olive oil. Big handful of fresh herbs (I used what I had in my herb planter). 2 leaves of sage. Blitz all of the above in a small food processor and rub all over the shoulder. Marinate for 4-6 hours, or overnight, in the fridge. I served this with the drippings (skin off the fat! And some mint jelly.

I took the idea and base ingredients from that recipe to make one we love. 2 lbs 90% lean ground beef. 1 envelope dry onion soup mix. 2 Tbs granulated garlic. 1/2 c bread crumbs. 1 1/4 c milk. Who needs therapy when you can get pummel your worries away with some sticky, oily focaccia dough instead? Plus, you get …. Raw Chocolate and Raspberry Brownies.
