Feeding the boys

Sunday, July 19, 2015. Mustard and herb-crusted lamb shoulder. Again, this is one of those "non-recipes" that I have :). I used a 4-lb boneless lamb shoulder here. 1 heaping tbsp. whole grain mustard. 1/4 cup olive oil. Big handful of fresh herbs (I used what I had in my herb planter). 2 leaves of sage. Blitz all of the above in a small food processor and rub all over the shoulder. Marinate for 4-6 hours, or overnight, in the fridge. I served this with the drippings (skin off the fat! And some mint jelly.

Feeding The Cat

Who needs therapy when you can get pummel your worries away with some sticky, oily focaccia dough instead? Plus, you get …. Raw Chocolate and Raspberry Brownies. Poached Eggs and Avocado Toast is dead. Behold, Turkish Eggs! Those crazy Finns really know how to snack. Fast and Easy Winter Tart (ooh-er). The weekend brunch of ...

Feeding the Chickens

Stories from the Farm. Friday, October 18, 2013. This is one of the best parts of farming. I love it when the new ones come to the farm. These are the chicks from the guinea nest that Odin found. They hatched out this week. What is really funny, I have three standard, one pearl and two lavender guineas. I really don't know which is male and which is female. But as you can see I have chicks of each type. Although the best I could tell,. It was a standard guinea that was setting the nest. Odin finds a Nest.
