Sunday, November 25, 2012. Just wanted to let you know that I survived Stressgiving. And it turned out to not be so stressful in the end. Chaotic? Yes, but in a good way. It wouldn't be a holiday with my family if it were anything less. We had a lovely time and ate some pretty yummy food {if I do say so myself}. Thursday, August 16, 2012. Just missed The Big "K". Payton missed the cut-off for Kindergarten age by 2 weeks, so she will have one more year of Pre-K. Christmas Eve at the Boddicker's. Back at home - we received a package labeled "URGENT! Those silly elf friends of Ella the Elf showed up and delivered some special pajamas for the kids to wear Christmas Eve. These special pajamas made sure the kids slept well throughout the night so Santa could work his magic!

Poor Phoebe wasn't feeling well at all just wanted to cry and be held all day and he was driving me crazy! You are the best. I really don't know what we are going to do when you leave. Probably cry. Thursday, August 18, 2011. It is almost that time of year again and I am excited to share one of my favorite recipes. For me nothing says Autumn like a big bowl of black bean soup. This recipe is a very basic template to start with and customize to your taste. 2 tablespoons grapeseed oil. 1/2 medium onion, finely chopped. 1 rib of celery, finely chopped. 1/4 cup finely chopped bell pepper. 2 garlic cloves, minced. 1 1/2 cups stock. 3 15-ounce cans black beans 2 with liquid. 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin.
