Finding Carol

Saturday, August 8, 2015. Race recap only a week late! So last Sunday was the Mosaic 2 Mountain in Dunkeld. I'd been checking the weather app from about 10 days out daily. Oh okay I checked twice a day! The temp seemed to be dropping. I was to meet my good running buddy Chloe who would be coming from a couple of hours north and we planned to have a great time. Hey Mt Sturgeon has done its disappearing act again! Earlier that morning the 21km race and the 26km race to the top of the Mount had already comm...

Finding Carol: December 2014

http://www.finding-carol.blogspot.com/2014_12_01_archive.html

Monday, December 29, 2014. Christmas been and gone! Well what a lead up and now it's over, goodness that happened fast. So the last few days have gone by in a whiz. So I'll back track and this is how Christmas was spent in the G House. Remembering we had gone down last week to do the big family thing, so this was us hiding out here at home, just as we like it. But run in it I did the whole way. Photobombed here by the Christmas Cow! It's a bit of a running (haha) joke in our 12WBT Runners Connect group t...

Finding Carol: April 2015

http://www.finding-carol.blogspot.com/2015_04_01_archive.html

Wednesday, April 29, 2015. I have gotten a bit slack on the blog, and this post isn't even going to mention running. It's about how we spent Anzac Day last Saturday. Ever since I can remember I have always gone to an Anzac Day ceremony, way back in a past life I played with a brass band, back when I played with FYCB we would attend three Anzac ceremonies on the one day. Even now I still go, and I probably will forever more. With our alarm set for 4.00am. Ouch! So home we went, Mike flaked it on the couch...

Sunday, May 17, 2015. GOR Paradise Run - the recap. Saturday and Sunday this weekend was the Great Ocean Road Marathon Festival at Apollo Bay. There were a 14km, 6km and a kiddies 1.5km I think it was on the Saturday, with the big one the half and full marathon on the Sunday. I did the 14km Paradise run from Apollo Bay up to Paradise and back. And I was off! A bit star struck I am. Plus he chats to you as if you really matter, I love that. Baked Eggs | energyandEmily

https://energyandemily.wordpress.com/2013/09/12/baked-eggs

September 12, 2013. My Aunty let me take over her kitchen to bake and photograph these. I’ve been wanting to share this recipe for quite a while now but I’ve learnt that baking eggs doesn’t work so well in our convection oven at home. These little ramekins are low-cal and packed full of flavour. Full recipe at the end. Preheat oven to 200C. Dice four medium tomatoes. Finely dice two cloves of garlic. Cutting the ends off each clove and crushing them makes it so much easier to peel and dice them. As soon ...
