Sunday, March 1, 2015. Patagonia Browns on the Frey. It was my third day fly fishing in Patagonia, Argentina with a group arranged by my local fly shop, Urban Angler and the fishing had been incredible. From beautiful Willow lined rivers to spring creeks. I loved it all. I was not missing the winter in New York. We fished with the outfitter, Patagonia River Guides ( http:/ patagoniariverguides.com/. And everything had exceeded expectations. What a way to start the day. I was thrilled. I fished wi...After...

Monday, April 27, 2015. The River At Last. There hasn't been much fishing since my trip to Patagonia, actually none to be exact. I've been traveling since March and it has been a busy two months. Work has had me on the road, but I've managed to have fun along the way. There was good food and drinks had and great places visited: New Orleans, Atlanta, Raleigh, LA, Charleston, and Augusta. Live music in Frenchmans. A few drinks before dinner. Mother's - a great place to visit in NOLA. Brass and horns in NOLA.

Sunday, January 12, 2014. Tying some Tube Flies for Steelhead. I'm hoping one of these weekends will be mild and I'll have the opportunity again to swing some flies for winter steelhead on the Salmon River. I've been only using tube flies ever since I started spey casting this past fall. I was first introduced to tube flies in Norway and all the Norwegians I was fishing with exclusively used them for salmon. Sunday, January 12, 2014. Saturday, January 11, 2014. 2013 Fly Fishing ADD. Tuesday, June 24, 2014. 10 Miles on the Delaware. My fondest memories growing up were drifting the Potomac River for smallmouth. Many summers were spent floating between Riley's Lock and Swains Lock. There is something special about just floating down the river in a canoe and enjoying the change of scenery. A canoe for the day. Working some nice riffles. The Delaware Water Gap. Tuesday, June 24, 2014. Thursday, June 12, 2014. Remind me that I need to get out on a small stream soon. It's been a while.

Tuesday, April 22, 2014. I've typically headed up to the Adirondacks for Memorial Day, but with the late start of spring this year I've opted for the Catskills instead. There is a beautiful riverfront home on the Beaverkill that we rented in 2012 with private river frontage and an amazing back yard, which we will be returning to. There is a nice riffle that empties into a nice long pool there. Bring on the hatches. Tuesday, April 22, 2014. Monday, April 21, 2014. Prepping the Salt Box. There was a light ...

Wednesday, December 31, 2014. End of Year Bonefish North Riding Point Club. We had a few options, but we chose the North Riding Point Club located on the southeastern shore of Grand Bahama. A quick trip from NYC with no puddle jumpers involved and nice amenities made it an easy choice for us. I was in search of my first bonefish and my wife wanted a nice place and a beach to relax on. Wednesday, December 31, 2014. North Riding Point Club. Wednesday, December 24, 2014. Swung, Swang, and Swung some more.

Sunday, October 19, 2014. Hurricane Gonzalo kept me away from the water this weekend. Big swells and high winds just aren't conducive to fly fishing. My good friend, I Fish New York. A walk along a familiar beach. I tied some flies today, putzed around the apartment, and ran a few errands. I might try to get out Tuesday night locally. The tides seem right and the wind looks pretty decent. I fish flies with a lot of movement at night, schlappen tails, marabou bodies and small deer spun heads. The Lawyer's...

Sunday, May 29, 2016. Escaping the Heat on a Salter Stream. I spent the weekend visiting family in southeastern MA, and I was lucky enough to do a little sea run brook trout fishing while I was there. Dawn on the stream. Later we walked upstream to the last trail access point and fished back downstream. In this stretch we starting hooking into some nicer fish. I caught this 10" brookie in the first pool we entered. He came out from under a root wad and smashed my streamer. I guess I'll never know. The fi...
