Ofgem accepted 14 of our heating installations onto the Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) scheme today. Coordinated by The Greenspan Agency on behalf of our clients, the applications totalled 7,100 kW of thermal generating capacity. Reminder: SmartestEnergy will withdraw from the FiT scheme as of 31st March 2017. Feed in Tariff RPI Increase April 2017.

The UK Government implemented the Feed-in-Tariff (FiT) on 1 April 2010. This system encourages the uptake of small-scale low-carbon energy technologies and helps to:. Engage communities, businesses and domestic households in the fight against climate change. Reduce reliance on centrally generated electricity. Increase security of supply for the UK. Reduce losses through transmission and distribution networks. MWh - lower rate. MWh - middle rate. MWh - higher rate. 10 - 50 kW (other than stand-alone*).
