The Unclear Fate of Frozen Frogs - Growing Goodness

http://growinggoodness.weebly.com/1/post/2010/12/the-unclear-fate-of-frozen-frogs.html

The Unclear Fate of Frozen Frogs. I am not actually sure of the fate of these other creatures. Can cold-blooded animals re-animate after they thaw? Research I have read says they can. Here is a large bull frog right under the ice,. And here are a frog and fish stuck in a pot. But the next day I looked again, and the fish had moved! This does not bode well for this winter. Brrrr. What an amazing world we live in. Sometimes I think working with nature is against our nature! Welcome to Growing Goodness!

My children called this umbrella just like the first pic. This one looks just like the one they sell at a local grocery store. Labels: Utilizing Our Yard.

Is now located @ Chestnut Ridge Farms since October 2013. Five acres of land with one acre tillable for home grown vegetables. If luck permits, I can finally have chickens! Being born in tropical country I do miss eating tropical fruits and other food. Since the weather is getting warm very fast in my area, I checked my seeds packets and re-checked online on how to plant them. This time I wrote a few guidelines on the envelopes. Picture is not mine* * *. For the yard that is. We did our gravel drivew...

Monday, December 31, 2012. SANTA (and Mrs Claus). This year an elf joined our family for the month of December. He watched over the kids and reported back to Santa each night. Alien Plants in Dallas. Sigh Many a great post idea has died in infancy because I've just been too busy. But here's something fun! What the heck is that? Honestly, if someone wanted to shoot a sci-fi flick on a budget about an alien planet, all he'd have to do would be to have it set in the Gaylord Texan Hotel and Conference Center in Dallas, TX. Under a massive glass atrium a little town is built, with a lazy stream, waterfalls, and weird plants. This one looks truly other-worldly. I hope I can keep up ...

Growing Good Schools

This blog is a place to reflect, ask questions, and experiment. I am both a leader and teammate in our efforts to imagine a new school to prepare students for a changing world and workforce. Monday, February 19, 2018. Some of you know, I attended a principal meeting last week. Some of the meetings I have to attend are terrible, but this one wasn’t. The focus: How do we know that students are actually learning what our teachers intend for them to learn? We are under such incredible pressure to get our kid...

Do you see him? He's ready to protect his spot on the route. Just off the float, waiting for hot cocoa and a cookie! It's hard to tell now if they...
