Margie loves Piper dearly and will go to Piper for hugs and comfort if Mommy is not readily available. Soccer has just started up again and Piper is learning so quickly with Daddy as her coach. Daddy has also been teaching her to play chess. One of these days Graci will be mature enough to learn and then we'll really have some fierce competition around here. What do we do?

I really thought when Graci first started mentioning her imaginary friends that she would use them as her scapegoats for all the things she might get in trouble for doing (as my Peter's sister blogged about her children doing.) She really hasn't done that, though. Maybe she knows I won't buy it? I also thought she would insist on making a cake for Jiki's birthday. She mentioned he was going to have a spiderman cake, so maybe his imaginary mom made one for him?

We have since made up for some of the lameness of the girl's birthdays with books from Nona and new barbies from grandma. The Ups and Downs. Sunday, March 21, 2010. We went to the fair this week. I was asked to judge the cakes and baked goods part of the 4-H entries. It was fun, and I had to keep telling myself that these are kids, not pastry chefs. Addison learned a few new words, chicken, sheep, goat, duck. I love to hear all the new things she has to say. I am also officially mommy, not mama. I loved the crazy hair when she took off her hat. She carried the bear around for 2 days, I'm not really sure why. I Have a JOB!
