My Personal Journey in Beer: Brewing my own beer - A Brief History

http://growlingdogbeer.blogspot.com/2011/07/brewing-my-own-beer-brief-history.html

My Personal Journey in Beer. Ramblings about Home Brewing and other Beer related matters. Reviews of a few beers may appear from time to time too. Monday, 4 July 2011. Brewing my own beer - A Brief History. I returned to Home Brewing in August last year, my previous attempts before had been a few kits which never turned out too well. I started with the sole intention of making some cheap drinkable beer, the price of bottles of decent beer was becoming a bit restrictive, and I do like my beer. The brewery...

My Personal Journey in Beer. Ramblings about Home Brewing and other Beer related matters. Reviews of a few beers may appear from time to time too. Friday, 1 July 2011. The journey is well underway. I've been drinking beer for a number of years, well ever since I could hold a glass really. Some of it bad, some of it good, some of it amazing. I never really understood it and appreciated it though. My beer journey is progressing, and I'm enjoying it. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Orange Beer Ice Cream.

My Personal Journey in Beer. Ramblings about Home Brewing and other Beer related matters. Reviews of a few beers may appear from time to time too. Monday, 11 July 2011. Time for a Weissbier. So, time to get a wheat beer underway. My recipe is below, and for those who are a bit pedantic, yes it's true I can't really call it a Weisse beer as it has less than 50% Wheat in it. I know this now, I didn't when I came up with the recipe and did the brew. Brewed 3 July 2011. Brew Length: 50 Litres. Time to get it...

Fair water, better beer. Skip to Content ↓. My first wet yeast. May 18th, 2012. For this weekend’s beer I’m going to try a wet yeast. For the first time. It’s a vial of White Labs WLP002. Aka the Fuller’s strain). Since I’m planning on 29 litres of wort into the FV it seems from my reading that I need to make a starter, and the Pitching Rate Calculator. On Mr Malty’s website indicates that for 7.66 US gallons of 1.053 wort I need 3.3 litres of starter, propagated from the 1 vial of yeast. Wuppit's M...

Lager – Fairwater Brewery

http://www.fairwater-brewery.co.uk/tag/lager

Beer is proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy." - Benjamin Franklin. Skip to Content ↓. Feb 14th, 2016. Based on a recipe for Harviestoun’s Schiehallion. Not sure where I found the recipe, but it ended up in BeerSmith when I was looking for a lager-like recipe. A quick look at Harviestoun’s website suggested a slightly different mix of hops to my recipe, so I tweaked the recipe to match both more of the varieties on their website and what I had in the freezer. Back to the same recipe as TC#02, but this is a 10 litre batch (albeit split over 2 demijohn fermenters). Was also split across the FVs, and a teaspoon of yeast. Nutrient into each. It's about the beer. Skip to Content ↓. Jul 19th, 2015. Actually, three, since I’ve just kicked off another batch of Turbo Cider. This is my first attempt at a sour beer, using the approach described here. And basically the recipe from here. Though lowered in gravity to 1.030 and since I like the Siren Craft. West Coast – Fairwater Brewery

http://www.fairwater-brewery.co.uk/tag/west-coast

Fair water, better beer. Skip to Content ↓. The Son of Punkie (AG#80). Jan 16th, 2016. It’s been an age since I last brewed, but I didn’t really have much time to plan a recipe so I’m basically using this all-grain recipe kit. From The Malt Miller. The kit itself was showing as out of stock, but all the ingredients were in stock so I bought it all separately. Anyway, it should be a bit Punk IPA-like, which will be good! BeerXml File: The Son of Punkie. The Son of Punkie. ABV: 5.7 %. Colour: 9.7 EBC.

Musashi Growling Dog Creatine| Growling Dog Creatine Reviews

What exactly is Creatine? Creatine is a naturally created acid within our body, which is responsible for helping our body’s movements and explosive actions. The human body only has a small amount of creatine stored at one time, so after a few reps of explosive exercise, our creatine stores are depleted, leaving us to use other energy sources such as carbohydrates and protein! Do you ever wonder why you can never work as hard at the end of a workout, as you could at the beginning? Of course it is! Is a to...
