Gull Dinghy Sailing: Outboard trials.

Cruising, racing and maintaining Gull dinghies. Wednesday, 8 April 2015. I finally found some time to trial my outboard setup before racing my Streaker in tonight's evening race. The outboard works better than I could have hoped for! The boat steers well using the rudder so there was no need to use the outboard tiller mount that I'd made (plywood fitting in above picture). Despite the extremely light winds the boat felt no different to sail with the 12kg motor hanging from the transom. 3 May 2015 at 10:22.

An eel fishery on the river Thurne. At one time eel traps would have been submerged in the river and a red "traffic" light would show to warn passing boats.
