nb Ferndale: May 2014

http://gypsyrover-australia.blogspot.com/2014_05_01_archive.html

Enjoying our gap years in peace and quiet. Saturday, 31 May 2014. New hat; sore knee; and nap time. Wednesday 28th May to Saturday 31st May 2014. We decided to take it a bit easy on Wednesday - just a casual stroll down with Andy and Sue, to the chandlery by Lock 1 - they needed a few things and you can always see something new at any chandlery; Diane also wanted to show me a clock that she was interested in at the Lock Shop. Thursday would be a better day and so it was. We both headed off reasonably ear...

Enjoying our gap years in peace and quiet. Wednesday, 27 August 2014. Dog-gone it's time to act! Saturday 23rd August to Wednesday 27th August 2014. With plenty of time on our hands there really was not a lot of need to move, which was a really good reason to stay put - the rain predicted for Saturday was another good reason, but it didn't seem to stop us heading off for a spot of shopping. Breakfast - poached eggs on spinach and. Flat mushrooms with hollandaise sauce -. I could take this more often.

http://gypsyrover-australia.blogspot.com/2015/08/ta-ta-thames-its-canaltime.html

Enjoying our gap years in peace and quiet. Thursday, 6 August 2015. Ta Ta Thames - it's canaltime. Monday 3rd August to Wednesday 5th August 2015. We slipped away first thing before 7am to go down and wind and head back towards Isis Lock through which we were finally back onto the canals for the remainder of the year. We haven't done this canal yet. We found a mooring opposite College Cruisers - even this early there were spaces available. We were off into town - shopping (aaarrrrggghhh! Even later on we...

nb Ferndale: It's a bit of Catch-up

http://gypsyrover-australia.blogspot.com/2015/05/sunday-17th-may-towednesday-20th-may.html

Enjoying our gap years in peace and quiet. Thursday, 21 May 2015. It's a bit of Catch-up. Sunday 17th May to Wednesday 20th May 2015. My my, I have been a bit slack in not writing about what we have been doing - I plead guilty, your honour, but with extenuating circumstances. Sunday was nominated as "work-on-the-boat-day"because there were a few things that needed attention - most notably there was a change of oil now due (only a few hours over) and with the waters here in. What will we do in the longer term? Has a soul and a heartbea...

Gypsy Rover Welcome

Until recently Gypsyrover built websites for small not for profit organisations in the UK. However, I am now retired and not in the greatest of health and so am steadily offloading these activities to others, for all except a few sites I look after for close personal friends. This is also the home of my family history website. Some information previously here has been lost and will not be recovered until I work my way through all the documents I have assembled over the years. The data has been obtained f...

One Sister's Rant. The One and Only Me. The race to discover answers to life's rhetorical questions before I die, lose my mind, or forget how to spell. Who’s ready for a little drama? January 18, 2018. January 18, 2018. Anyone who is a regular reader of my blog knows I’m not one to do reviews or product recommendations. The reason for this is that rarely do I come across something worthy of a “five-star rating.”. A realistic representation of life in Madrid, Spain in the late 1920’s. Once hired, the wome...
