A Quilter's Alley: June 2012
http://aquiltersalley.blogspot.com/2012_06_01_archive.html
Saturday, June 30, 2012. Sherry Falls, of Little Bits of This and That, had a fun idea last fall of doing a small project in a series of Mysterys giving us clues each Monday. The first one was a candle mat. The second one was a table runner. The third one was a cute small quilt. I didn't get a chance to follow along on that one but after seeing the pictures I wish I had taken the time. She plans to do it again soon. Subscribe to her post. So you'll know when she does start up again. We were given eight ...

A Quilter's Alley: Grand Illusion Progress
http://aquiltersalley.blogspot.com/2014/12/grand-illusion-progress.html
Sunday, December 28, 2014. As you could see from my previous post, I am hooked on Bonnie Hunter Mysteries. (Actually I like mystery quilts, period.) I haven't had a lot of time to work on each step yet, but I have made some units each week so when the reveal comes, I'll be able to lay out what I have to see how it's going to look. Here's a look at my journey so far. Of course, I've added several since this picture was taken. Plus the gold. It was quilted by Betty Lewis, Louisville, MS. Im a little behind...

A Quilter's Alley: November 2013
http://aquiltersalley.blogspot.com/2013_11_01_archive.html
Sunday, November 24, 2013. A few of my buddies and I went to Alabama for a mini quilt retreat. While there, I was able to meet an old friend from high school. Peggy and I have kept in touch through the years (not nearly as often as we should) but it's fun to reconnect when we can. I have actually gotten my sister, Eva Marie, interested in doing some hand quilting. She joined us for a couple nights. The leaves were still very colorful in some areas. Judy and Eva Marie. Close-up of one corner. For my Possu...

Sunday, January 4, 2015. I forgot to take any photos of my guests for New Year's lunch, but we had a good time and enjoyed a great feast! Ham, turnip greens, cooked cabbage, black-eyed peas, corn casserole, green beans, cole slaw, mandarin orange salad, coconut cake, chocolate pie and scotcheroos. Two of our daughters and their families were here along with my Dad and sister, Eva Marie. Eva Marie with her new pin cushion. January 5, 2015 at 6:15 AM. Your block looks very pretty! A Quilter's Alley: January 2015
http://aquiltersalley.blogspot.com/2015_01_01_archive.html
Sunday, January 25, 2015. Eva Marie came to visit last weekend. Together we spent Friday evening, nearly all day Saturday and Sunday working on Bonnie Hunter's Grand Illusion Mystery Quilt. I had hubby take a few pictures of our set-up in my overly crowded sewing room. Messy, messy room. But functional. One day maybe I'll get things cleaned up. I was able to complete all the steps to the GI Mystery. And I am planning to change my block up a bit. Eva Marie has a whole row put together. I used my 3/4" hexa...

A Quilter's Alley: More Catching Up
http://aquiltersalley.blogspot.com/2015/01/more-catching-up.html
Sunday, January 11, 2015. I made a few other chicken pin cushions. These were made from 6" blocks. I made a couple more but failed to get pictures before they went to their new homes. I've got to stop doing that! Forgetting to photograph important events! You know Hexies are the latest and greatest new thing to do. So I decided to make this past year's Christmas ornaments for the grands out of hexies. Here's a close-up of a finished "top". I used my 3/4" hexagon stamp from Cindy Blackburg. The challenge ...
