The Adventures of an Amateur Housewife: Michael Moves
http://theadventuresofanamateurhousewife.blogspot.com/2015/01/michael-moves.html
The Adventures of an Amateur Housewife. Friday, January 30, 2015. What kind of mother would I be if I didn't do a little post about Michael after my recent ones about Joseph. That's why we're going to talk about Michael for a minute. I'm killing it not letting my third child slip through the cracks ;). Michael's latest motor skills promotion was to crawler earlier this week. I was getting pretty antsy because he has been looking. Like he wanted to crawl for about a month now. How is that possible? My you...

My Journey to Beat Leukemia. Day 1 →. April 19, 2013. Bryce was here for the entire transplant and was a great focus during the whole process. He had good luck kisses for me before and after that definitely helped raise my spirits. I am so lucky to have such an amazing son and I thank God every day that he is in my life. I will be cured for good and make it back home to be with him. The reason I fight with everything I have. Ready to go and a-okay. All done and ready to be disconnected! So happy for you!

Positively (Im)perfect: Timing Is Everything
http://www.positivelyimperfect.com/2015/02/timing-is-everything.html
Thursday, February 12, 2015. This year (all one and a half months of it, ha) seems to be extremely intent on beating me over the head with a single lesson: Timing is everything. I'm not talking about my own timing, of course. One by one, my plans this year have been getting handed to me. Not exactly in an I'm-getting-life-handed-to-me way, but more in a "nice try, but your plans just got totally dominated (but you still get to benefit! I'm good at saying. Time and in my. Lent begins next week. So as ...

Positively (Im)perfect: Silver Linings...and Such
http://www.positivelyimperfect.com/2015/07/silver-liningsand-such.html
Wednesday, July 1, 2015. Silver Linings.and Such. It had been a wonderful but physically exhausting trip to see my family- which started with our daughter missing the last two days of school so we could fly across the country for her aunt's graduation- and my brain had been close to implosion as I'd tried to get everything in order for the end of another school year while packing up for the trip out. Thus began our summer break. I told myself that two weeks shouldn't be a big deal. Two weeks was a ri...

Friday, May 22, 2015. Happy" Memorial Day (And Other Thoughts). Another Memorial Day is approaching, and with it, mixed feelings that fill the hearts of many service members and their families. For a large portion of our nation, Memorial Day is simply the unofficial start of summer and a happy chance to escape work on a Monday. Sadly, with all the barbecuing and pool-opening and we-can-finally-wear-white rejoicing, it feels like the honoring and remembering have become a small endnote that puts a damper ...

Positively (Im)perfect: Just Beyond The Clouds
http://www.positivelyimperfect.com/2015/03/beyond-clouds.html
Tuesday, March 3, 2015. Just Beyond The Clouds. This morning, we caught our first glimpse of mountain views from our bedroom since we moved to our new home. Last week. Hazy clouds and snowstorms, one after another, have covered our sky and hidden our beautiful mountains for the past five days- a little rare for the city that boasts over 300 days of sunshine a year. It was almost starting to feel like our majestic peaks had disappeared. And it reminded me of life these past few chaotic weeks. But no matte...

Positively (Im)perfect: January Awareness
http://www.positivelyimperfect.com/2015/01/january-awareness.html
Tuesday, January 27, 2015. It's that time again: time to acknowledge some great causes for January awareness before the short remainder of the month officially runs away from me! Seriously, where did January go? National Blood Donor Month:. We hear it a constantly- or at least I did, growing up in the military as I did: "Give Blood! Is that every two seconds. Someone in the U.S. needs blood. Even more sobering: in order to keep up with this, more than 41,000 blood donations. Are needed every day. Most pe...
