Poetry, photography, music. August 20, 2014. I’m organizing people, tasks, plans. At work and in my dreams. I’m. Living my work life twice,. Once awake and once asleep. Walking down the street,. I’m shucked as new corn. Exposed, raw, open. It’s New York City in the fall. Curtains blown through –. Caught, held, pinned. Square in clear air. Green corners filled out. Feeling life, living, alive. Holding together, letting go. It’s now or never. View all posts by Cynthia Pittmann →. Leave a Reply Cancel reply.

Poetry, photography, music. November 12, 2014. People are afraid of themselves, of their own reality; their feelings most of all. People talk about how great love is, but that’s bullshit. Love hurts. Feelings are disturbing. People are taught that pain is evil and dangerous. How can they deal with love if they’re afraid to feel? 8220;Wild Nights”. I’m afraid of music. Yes (but I can write. Whatever I want here). I know myself. Too involved. Caught in the sound,. Caught in the dream. Fall in love and wake.

My Life and Times - An Op-Ed: January 2012
http://anoped.blogspot.com/2012_01_01_archive.html
Tuesday, January 31, 2012. What Can I Cook With This? Wow Talk about coincidences. A couple weeks ago, there was absolutely nothing on TV (surprise surprise! So, as we invariably do on a Saturday like that, we turn to the Food Network. Because I'm on a diet. And nothing says "IN YOUR FACE, LOSER! Like being on a diet and being forced to watch Food Network. That goes with the show, so I'm going to assume that they're all the same thing and go with it. OK? I will admit, there's not a lot going on there.
My Life and Times - An Op-Ed: February 2012
http://anoped.blogspot.com/2012_02_01_archive.html
Wednesday, February 29, 2012. As I promised yesterday, here is my column on the running thing. My doctor called me an idiot. Speaking of my letter jacket, my sweet, precious, loving, innocent daughter saw it the other day and asked me what it was. I told her it was my letter jacket from high school. She then sweetly, preciously, lovingly, innocently asked me if there was a high school when I was a kid, as she couldn't believe that they had it "way back then.". I died a little inside. He called me an idiot.

I mean, I do everything I can to plan out the kids' birthday parties at least. That year to plan for it. Also, when I've said that I need at least. First off, we ...

Review The Glass Castle. April 8, 2012. The book shines in its description of the characters, who in some ways feel more as if they’ve come from a Dickens novel than from the memories of a living person. And as with a Dickens novel, the author includes a stunning “twist” that leaves you re-evaluating the story she has already told. Review The $64 Tomato. April 8, 2012.
