Zethrosure: Opening Day
http://zethro.blogspot.com/2015/04/opening-day.html
Monday, April 6, 2015. Well, I've been away for awhile. Today is opening day in major league baseball. Or was it last night? I don't know. I can't keep track. It's hard here in Denver, Colorado. Because who cares? I did follow the run of the Kansas City Royals to the World Series last year, even watched a few of the games. It reminded me of the 1980s, when there were good teams in places like Kansas City, Minnesota, Oakland, and Cincinnati and it wasn't just all about the stupid Red Sox and Yankees.

Zethrosure: January 2014
http://zethro.blogspot.com/2014_01_01_archive.html
Monday, January 27, 2014. The Super Bowl XLVIII matchup between the Denver Broncos and the Seattle Seahawks is just the fourth Super Bowl to feature two teams from west of the Mississippi facing off for the world championship. The last one was nineteen years ago, when the San Francisco 49ers defeated the San Diego Chargers 49-26 in Super Bowl XXIX. The Broncos played in the other two. They were crushed 55-10 by the 49ers in Super Bowl XXIV. And beaten by the Dallas Cowboys 27-10 in Super Bowl XII. I don'...

Zethrosure: Review: It Happened in Wisconsin
http://zethro.blogspot.com/2013/11/review-it-happened-in-wisconsin.html
Friday, November 22, 2013. Review: It Happened in Wisconsin. It Happened in Wisconsin. My rating: 1 of 5 stars. I checked this little winner out from the Amazon Prime lending library. I don't necessarily disagree with all of the ideals put forth in this book, but there's a reason in society why businesses aren't managed by the people, for the people. It's because it doesn't work. There's a reason teams have managers. It's because they would suck otherwise. It's only fiction, after all! The arguments agai...

Zethrosure: March 2014
http://zethro.blogspot.com/2014_03_01_archive.html
Sunday, March 2, 2014. A huge bowl of nacho cheese Doritos. Orange Fanta lined up and ready to go. Orange and blue M&M's. Pot roast was prepared in honor of Terrance Knighton. Not orange, but cookie bars! Orange chicken in the Pro Pot! None of this tasted as good as it looked once the game started. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Thats Grays Peak right there. Im pretty sure it is, anyways. I didnt really know where the trail was leading on the way up. Review: It Happened in Wisconsin. Life on the Clayton Farm.

Zethrosure: Fall Project 2013 - Stain the Porch
http://zethro.blogspot.com/2014/02/fall-project-2013-stain-porch.html
Sunday, February 23, 2014. Fall Project 2013 - Stain the Porch. However, because this was done in the fall there was no time to put on a proper stain before the winter snows came. Quality construction. Three stringers - the old one had two. I did dig the post holes - don't say I didn't do nothing! Our old railing was not that secure. With the stain - looks lovely. Zethrosure: October 2013
http://zethro.blogspot.com/2013_10_01_archive.html
Saturday, October 19, 2013. Here's the deal. Twenty-nine years ago, as a young boy, I became a Denver Broncos fan. The year was 1984, John Elway was in just his second year as a pro, the Broncos won thirteen games, lost just three, and took the AFC West. I've been with them ever since, through Super Bowl defeats and Super Bowl triumphs, through Josh McDaniels and Tebowmania. However, I remained very reserved in my excitement. Who knew how he was going to come back from his injury? On Sunday there's a big...

Zethrosure: Legacies
http://zethro.blogspot.com/2014/01/legacies.html
Sunday, January 26, 2014. You know whose legacy took a big shot last weekend? Last weekend, the Denver Broncos advanced to Super Bowl XLVIII. Part of the credit is due to their vice president of football operations, who helped rebuild the Broncos into a contender. His name is John Elway. It's probably not fair. Mike Shanahan is one of only seven coaches to win back-to-back Super Bowls, which is a pretty remarkable achievement. Sometimes I think we forget how good a job he did with those two Bronc...Ive l...

Zethrosure: Happy Memorial Day
http://zethro.blogspot.com/2014/06/happy-memorial-day.html
Sunday, June 1, 2014. No steaks - but this did just fine. The recipe made so much - I'm doing 1/2 next time. I haven't really had much time for trying stuff out on the dutch oven, so I pulled it out and tried a new desert. This one is called peachy dump cake - the ingredients are canned peaches, white cake mix, 7-up, and hot tamales candies. Serving up the dessert. A cutaway of the peachy delight. Zethrosure: Memories of Super Bowl XXI
http://zethro.blogspot.com/2014/01/memories-of-super-bowl-xxi.html
Monday, January 27, 2014. Memories of Super Bowl XXI. The first time I experienced the Broncos in the Super Bowl was January 1987, when they earned a spot opposite the New York Giants in Super Bowl XXI. In Pasadena, California. The first half, of course, was pretty close. The Broncos even led 10-9 at halftime, and should have perhaps led by more. Shouldacouldawoulda. Because with a young John Elway at quarterback, the Broncos would certainly be back again. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Its not like...
