Adam and Jon really enjoyed their trip to Michigan to celebrate Christmas with Jon's family. They celebrated at the new condo of one of his sisters and they tell me it's lovely! As always, there was tons of good food and a gazillion presents. Grandma with a craft we made for her. I made these with a girls group this fall and then the boys made several for family member Christmas gifts. My dad and...

Thursday, August 7, 2014. After our fun-filled week at Lakeside, we spent a day at Cedar Point in Sandusky. We had a blast! It was raining off and on. but that kept us from getting too hot. We ended up spending 12 hours at the park. and now the boys are begging to go back. The view from the ferris wheel. This next picture really tricked lots of people when I posted it on Facebook. :). They were not actually on a roller coaster. but they did a good job pretending, right? ONE of us really loved this ride!

Sunday, July 6, 2014. Remembering a Kind and Generous Sister, Kay. Last week Jon's oldest sister passed away. Kay had been fighting cancer for a few years. In the end it was all through her body and it took her away from us much too soon. She was 60 years old. Kay retired from the Michigan Department of Liquor Control a few years ago. She worked hard all her life and is remembered fondly by many co-workers and friends who attended her funeral. Some favorite pictures of Kay - -. She gave the BEST gifts.

Tuesday, November 12, 2013. How Quickly Things Change. Ray was very proud of his first "snowman" of the year! Yes, Adam is likely licking the slide. One change that I'm really happy about is that they don't even ask me to go out in the snow with them anymore. Yeah! One change that I'm not happy about is Ray's change from healthy boy on Sunday to "virus boy" today. Negative strep test. but sore throat and headache and lots of whining. Saturday, November 9, 2013. At the turning of the season. We started of...

Being Mirrors: Science Fair
http://beingmirrors.blogspot.com/2015/03/science-fair.html
Thursday, March 5, 2015. We had the great privilege of participating in a homeschool Science Fair last month. Our Catholic homeschool group organized the fair, which included children ages six through fourteen. It was a great opportunity for all of the students to learn about and work through the scientific method. They got valuable experience by doing ongoing research, organizing their results, and then presenting it to their peers and judges. Having things like this on your counter for a week. I am ble...

I don't know much about all the ins and outs of Obama*Care and insurance, but I know that the health care system is a total mess when things like this happen - -. 1 Weird bumps on my neck. 2 Went to dermatologist. 3 She told me it wasn't cancerous or dangerous (yay! Prescribed a special cream. and gave me a coupon that would let me get it for $10. Great. 4 Jon dropped off the prescription. That's right. $600 for cream for benign bumps on my neck.
