Sunday, August 4, 2013. Little Progress Aside From New Shifter. I called CJ Pony Parts this past Wednesday morning as they had not sent me an email indicating my parts were shipped. The person I spoke with stated the parts were arriving to them that day and would be shipped out to me the next day. On the CJ Pony Parts website periodically hoping to find it on sale. Despite 20% and 30% off sales, this particular part never seems to go on sale. Monday, March 31, 2014. Transmission Parts and Needing New Wheels. I've not vanished. just been busy. I've wanted to get new wheels for the Mustang for a while now so I can run a wider rear tire and tires with a lower aspect ratio for better cornering. I decided two weeks ago I would list my current GT wheels I've had for five years on Craigslist. I expected it would take a while for them to sell since I did not want to compromise on the price. Sunday, July 28, 2013. Minor Details on Transmission Rebuild. I finished up installing the fifth gear and the shift fork for fifth and reverse gear. I went ahead and temporarily installed the tailshaft, top plate, input bearing retainer, and the shifter to test everything out. It seemed to not want to shift well into 3rd or 4th at first but after going through the gears a few times it smoothed up. Saturday, January 2, 2010. I spent today cleaning up the parts of the 3rd member. I started by scraping off the large grease deposits with a little chisle. The part was rather bulky to work with so I decided to go ahead and disassemble the piece. Once it was disassembled, I cleaned it with some Super Clean Engine Degreaser and a brush. Wednesday, December 28, 2011. Performing the Shelby/Arning Drop. This was a change made by Shelby on the GT350 cars. I took on the project since I'm just standing around waiting for the motor to be rebuilt. While I had the springs out, I removed a 1/4 coil from my front coil springs to drop the ride height slightly. Although the car is back together, I can't see the difference yet as the engine is not in the vehicle. Then it would have improved handling. Stability is also increased. Nice work.

Monday, July 14, 2014. New Billett Specialties Wheels. Over the last few months, I've continued to search for a new set of wheels for the Mustang. I initially started looking for late model rims which I could use with some spacers. However, I decided against that direction as I don't want to cut corners and just end up wishing I'd done something different later.
