Create. innovate. explore. Skip to primary content. Skip to secondary content. England’s first gift. September 14, 2014. I am in England now, as an adult, in one of real life’s beautiful adventures. Many dreams do not come to be. Other dreams, once realized, shape themselves around the fac...

Friends, Romans, Countrymen
Friends, Romans, Countrymen. Sunday, June 27, 2010. My brother, John, arrived in the Eternal City on the 13th of June. We were going to have an adventure. We fled the Roman humidity for Espana! Our next day we went to the fantabulous Picasso Museum. Picasso lived in Barcelona during different periods in his life. A large part of the collection are his almost obsessive musings on Velasquez's. Him: Cormac McCarthy's Blood Meridian -. Thursday, June 24, 2010. And gazing out at a spectacular cupola that just...

RUSSIA!
Saturday, May 30, 2009. Well, this morning I officially said goodbye to Russia. My really sweet new Russian friend Katya stayed up all night with me and rode with me in the taxi at 4am to the airport. It was a completely bittersweet moment when it hit me that soon I get to see everyone I've missed so dearly these past 4 months, but at the same time, I have to leave the place that's been my entire life for these same past 4 months. It's just plain strange. 7 Milk. not so much the taste, rather the adv...

Lauren In Seattle
Wednesday, October 7, 2009. Proving What I Already Know. Ha ha ha. I definitely don't consider myself brainy. I think I'm pretty smart but not brainy. Although according to U.S. News Washington State ranks #3 for the brainiest states in the U.S. We are right behind Washington D.C. and Maryland. Lauren in Senegal | My year out in Joal, Senegal with Project Trust
My year out in Joal, Senegal with Project Trust. There and back again. How do you pick up the threads of an old life? How do you go on… when in your heart you begin to understand… there is no going back? So I’m back from Senegal. Writing this blog exactly a year on from the departure date I awaited with so much fear, excitement, regret, worry, stress etc, I realise how much has changed in that time. On the 13. And the same question came to me as the two guys walked into the distance, and out of sight.
