Companionship, friendship and a lack of it. Perception of beauty from mankind. Nature vs. nurture. Reflecting the ideas of the time. A need for love. A tragedy - Victor can be seen as a tragic character because he suffers the consequences. The monster doesn't have a name - the idea of rejection and lack of identity.
