The Hole in the Wall experiments and the School in the Cloud project. I’ve seen Mitra’s TED talks before and found them incredibly provocative. Both Mitra and another of my favourite TED talkers, Ken Robinson. Mitra says schools as we know them now – they’re obsolete . In his view of the future. So, where does this leave the teachers of the world?

I thought this photo from Google Images. Seemed a pretty accurate depiction of how my mind feels right now, lots of light sparks, going around in circles and dead-ends! Lately I have been considering what it is that makes us a network, which is what I feel. Are at the moment…I think. I saw this pretty legendary concept map by Downes. In the EDU8117 course material:. My first thought upon reading this was is this process always one-way? And from there does that then become another network as it grows?
