The (Little) Big Easy

May 4, 2009. Square Foot Garden - May Update. The two square foot gardens are doing well, all things considered. So far, we've harvested radishes, crookneck squash, strawberries, and green onions. We are battling the spring/summer bugs as well as a nasty case of powdery mildew. On the squash. Below are some pictures of the updated look. It's amazing what they look like compared to 60 days ago. Onion flower from a confused-by-the-always-changing-weather red onion. Labels: Square Foot Garden. May 3, 2009.

April 4, 2009. Square Foot Garden - The Beginning. In early March, we built a couple of square foot gardens based on Mel Bartholomew's books and system. Both beds around a week after planting:. The first bed contains radishes, bell and jalapeno peppers, cabbage, okra, squash, eggplant, tomatoes, carrots, red and yellow onions, and watermelon. Our Little Life: June 2012

http://cnctx.blogspot.com/2012_06_01_archive.html

The adventures of Charlie, Cynthia, Leo and the Jellybean. Tuesday, June 12, 2012. Leo, hard at work. Poor little man, he started off last week with croup and then ended up with an ear infection a couple days later. Since I couldn't take him to school, I had to work from home. Here is Leo (in my glasses) helping me work. Poor Charlie, here he was looking forward to months of crab again and I have to stay away from it. Pregnancy is SO strange! Jellybean - 15 1/2 weeks. Since Leo was sick all last week, he...

The adventures of Charlie, Cynthia, Leo and the Jellybean. Wednesday, December 30, 2009. Stage 1 Foods for a Monkey Baby. We introduced Leo to his first solid foods about 2 weeks ago. The spoon took some getting used to, but I finally figured out that if I left the spoon in his mouth he would chew on it and then actually swallow some food instead of spitting it out the moment I put it in. We started with sweet potatoes, here a couple of pictures from one of the first feedings:. Here are our favorite sill...

The adventures of Charlie, Cynthia, Leo and the Jellybean. Tuesday, June 12, 2012. Jellybean - 15 1/2 weeks. We had an appointment at 14.5 weeks and all is well. Heartbeat was strong (156) and that really about summed up the appointment. We go back at 16.5 weeks for the anatomy scan and we should find out the sex! Since Leo was sick all last week, he came to the appointment with us. He got to hear the heartbeat and has been talking about it all week. So sweet. :). Our last Mexico trip before kids.

The adventures of Charlie, Cynthia, Leo and the Jellybean. Monday, September 27, 2010. Eating Big Boy Food! As many of you know, Leo has had a hard time making the switch from pureed baby food to table food. On Thursday, we had a good conversation with the Doctor about it and he agreed that it was time for us to visit an Occupational Therapist to evaluate Leo's texture aversion. I have to admit, I was so excited, I had tears in my eyes! Our last Mexico trip before kids. Moving To New York.

Our Little Life: Leo vs. Food

http://cnctx.blogspot.com/2012/05/leo-vs-food.html

The adventures of Charlie, Cynthia, Leo and the Jellybean. Tuesday, May 29, 2012. Leo vs. Food. Well, he's older, and Charlie and I were ready to start having some family meals. Since a sticker chart worked so well with potty training we gave it a try for new foods. For every new food tried, Leo got a sticker, once he earned 5 stickers, he got a new car. I figured it would take months to earn 3 new cars, surprisingly it only took about 3-4 weeks! Our last Mexico trip before kids. Moving To New York.

The adventures of Charlie, Cynthia, Leo and the Jellybean. Tuesday, May 29, 2012. Jellybean - 13 Weeks. Why didn't someone remind me how long pregnancy feels? I can't believe I have so many more months ahead of me! Ever the optimist, and believer in positive thinking, I met with a personal trainer to set me up with a safe weight training program. Now, if I can ever muster up some energy again I will go back and do it. :). Leo - 33 Months. At 33 months, Leo is a bright happy handful! Leo is slightly obses...
