Take the Scenic Route: December 2004
http://scenicdetour.blogspot.com/2004_12_01_archive.html
Take the Scenic Route. Thursday, December 23, 2004. So I guess you're probably wondering why I'd bother taking an actual film print of such a rundown old dump? Well, my great great grandparents lived in this house during winter (their summer house was in eastbourne). And why does it look so decrepit? Well, it is (/was? On Willis St, in the way of the unlovely bypass. I am stoked to have some photos back after my last debacle. Posted by limegreen @ 1:01 PM. Tuesday, December 21, 2004. Burn in hell heathen.

Take the Scenic Route: September 2005
http://scenicdetour.blogspot.com/2005_09_01_archive.html
Take the Scenic Route. Friday, September 30, 2005. I got a certain magazine today, and being the diligant reader that I am, I eventually noticed this rather drab advertisement for locum doctors. Posted by limegreen @ 4:31 PM. Tuesday, September 27, 2005. Is back. Actually, I have acheived a few things since it was last here, but it still doesn't feel like very long ago (and I think the other tanker has been in and out since). Posted by limegreen @ 3:00 PM. Monday, September 26, 2005. Being a designated s...

Tim Walker's evocative images are full of textured nuance and intriguing detail. Stunning sets and lavish locations juxtapose the everyday with the absurd and the fabulous, to create captivating, original photographs. Walker loves turning "funny daydreams into funny photographs," adding that he lives much of the time in an imaginary world, a world rooted in real-life and memory, specifically the British countryside of his childhood. How does he pull off such elaborate productions? Center for book arts.

http://ornamentaldesign.blogspot.com/2008/03/leonard-cohen-youre-our-man.html
Leonard cohen: you're our man. This evening, Leonard Cohen will be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. My reaction? I love this line from Cohen's Anthem. It may just be my favorite lyric. Ever. There is a crack, a crack in everything. That's how the light gets in. I recently discovered a remark that Cohen made about this bit of his poetry: That’s the closest thing I could describe to a credo. That idea is one of the fundamental positions behind a lot of the songs. Late Night with Dave. Love the...

Take the Scenic Route: August 2005
http://scenicdetour.blogspot.com/2005_08_01_archive.html
Take the Scenic Route. Sunday, August 28, 2005. Hit the Road, (telephone) Jack. Before I ramble, I'd like to point out for any one that was interested in 15 minute charge batteries that I was writing about a few weeks back. And then there is the habitful element. That sleep is most satisfying when you get up and go to bed at the same time everyday (which somewhat undermines the idea that there is a certain amount of sleep needed). But I digress. Take the Scenic Route: November 2004

Take the Scenic Route. Tuesday, November 23, 2004. I now have a vacuum cleaner, and the sweetest fridge. It's big and spacious and clean and has the freezer down the bottom - the complete antithesis of a student flat. That is the view. The plastic furniture will be gone, and I'll be out there reclining with a Riesling or a G&T. Mmmmm. AAAAAAaaaaah. Posted by limegreen @ 4:39 PM. Sunday, November 21, 2004. Shop 'til you . Take the Scenic Route. Saturday, June 09, 2007. Size isn't everything (Apparently). So I'm writing this on a 22" widescreen monitor, which has turned up in advance of my new computer. Unfortunately, my old computer doesn't understand widescreen resolutions at all. Posted by limegreen @ 2:05 PM. Dunedin, New Zealand. View my complete profile. Or Something More Mysterious? Take the Scenic Route: March 2005
http://scenicdetour.blogspot.com/2005_03_01_archive.html
Take the Scenic Route. Sunday, March 20, 2005. Yesterday I had my first cause to visit the fuse box. All in all a rather interesting experience. To the best of what I can understand, there are at least 3 fuses which don't appear to actually 'fuse' anything. The labels are also a little comical. "Heating" controls the lounge to several unlabelled fuses. And if so, where was it? Posted by limegreen @ 3:37 PM. Saturday, March 19, 2005. After the a pretty nasty patch. Posted by limegreen @ 12:31 PM. I can't ...
