Sunday, January 9, 2011. Well we had a great time over the holidays, it was nice to get out of cold MI and head down to FL. It was still pretty chilly there when you are expecting it to be in the 80s and sunny but still better than it was in MI I'm sure. We spent Christmas with my aunt's family and headed on to Miami to board the ship for our cruise for 4 days! It was so nice to relax and forget about everything for a week! Farewell party on the cruise! Catamaran and Snorkle in Cozumel. NYE at Sushi Samba.

Thursday, February 10, 2011. DR Day 6 and 7. So we had an eventful day yesterday, a little emotional but God was definitely there! We finished up the kids physicals in the morning and then took a walk to a store some of the women from the area sell purses and jewelry that they make and were able to buy a few things there since we won't make it to the Hatian Market like we originally had planned due to riots happening in that area. The. So prayers to keep the team healthy and moving along is always needed.

Saturday, January 29, 2011. The Countdown is on! So we're 5 days away until leaving for the Dominican! I have my bag packed and ready to go! Sunday, September 28, 2008. Last weekend I went up north to Mackinac Island with my parets and sister, Emily. It was a lot of fun and a nice weekend even though it was freezing on the island! It was very nice to get away and just have a fun weekend away! I forget how much fun that can be to just get away for a weekend. As usual I spent too much money though! A recent Sunday afternoon trip to Seaport Village was filled with tons of sights, sounds and sweet memories. Not a bad way to spend an afternoon in America’s finest city! 1 Vintage car parade (some even showed off their hydraulics! 2 Sailboats, yachts, barges and ferries coming in and out of the harbor. 3 Planes and helicopters heard flying overhead. 4 Kites soaring in the blue sky above.
