Monday, April 6, 2009. Long time no see. When I started this blog, I fully intended to keep it updated regularly. Seriously. I swear. Part of the reason being was the lack of updating on MySpace. There definitely wasn't a shortage in subject matter! Can't turn back the clock now, so on we go! A lot has happened in the past 6 months, so there is. To talk about. Saturday, October 4, 2008. Laurie's new job at PNNL. I am pleased to announce that I have accepted a position at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory! So far I absolutely LOVE my job and my co-workers. I can't wait to really get in there and start getting my hands dirty. I have learned a lot already, but I'm hungry for more! This is the first job that I have been so excited about, that I actually get up and go to work 1-2 hours early just to learn as much as possible as fast as I can! A bunch of Thornes.

I think they are just beautiful. there's something about the sheer magnitude of mother nature's power that absolutely amazes me, and I love watching it play out. Thursday night we had an incredible show! It was the biggest lightning storm I had ever seen in my life, and we got a front-row view from our house on the hill over looking the Tri-Cities! This is what happened.After the fun and drama we had with the 11 lb tumor on her Ovary (which, after getting lab results back, we found out was actually Stage 1 Cancer), her OB/GYN referred her to an OB/GYN Oncologist in Seattle to have the other Ovary removed, and discuss any further plans for action.
