Momma Mia-What A Trip. Just another WordPress.com site. And so that is Avignon claim to fame. There is not an awful lot to see in Avignon but it is a great place to stay and take side trips. And that is what we did. But anyway, the following is what Avignon looks like. This is the street to out hotel. Hotel du Parc. The Palace of The Popes. He did all kinds of work including redoing the outsides of various buildings. He also built an apartment which was way ahead of his time. The following pictures were taken from the roof. It took us three hours navigating a challenging drive through Central City with tight turns and 12% grades. But that was the only way out. Mick and Ann's Travels. Just another WordPress.com weblog. The Rain Has Stopped. A couple of days ago the rains finally stopped. We went back to Peaceful Valley Campground to clean up the site in preparation for leaving and heading to Longmont. We found a 5 gallon we left when we vacated the site. It was almost full from the rain. That means the amount of rain we got at the campground was around 15 to 20 inches. That is a lot of water. And so we head to Longmont tomorrow. More latter. We visited four national parks, saw stuff that one could not imagine, and lived in the bush in luxury like the Brits did a hundred years ago. Beautifully designed to sail on the rivers in Europe with ease considering all of the challenges of the river. And so here is the Concerto sailing down the Mein and Rhine River. Fuel oil consumption 85 gallons per mile. The ship burns 150 tons per day sailing and 30 tons in port per day. Fuel oil capacity 860,000 gallons. Cruising speed 21 knots. Fresh water consumption 174,000 gallons per day. Fresh Water Production 370,000 gallons per day. Five electric propulsion motors generate 60,000 horsepower.
