An American expat in Brasil. My baby is 3! Since my last blog entry was the announcement of Nellie May's birth I though it would be fitting to start again with marking her third birthday. This year for Nellie May's birthday we were in MD. Before we had to drive back to NC we got to enjoy a quick family party with some of her cousins. Extra special was that Aunt Allie, Uncle Tristan, and cousins Tate and Stevie were in town from CA. It has been 2 years since we saw them all. Washington. D.C. My baby is 3!

Thankfully, at the end of our ride this time though, we ended up with an AMAZING onward assignment! We had multiple factors that played into our situation this time, making it very unique comparitively; but that is a story for another day. Now, I'm back in the saddle, and finally ready to blog it. Wednesday, April 3, 2013. April 2 came and I had to turn 47. This picture took some of the pain away. (I admit, I like it. I usually hate pictures taken of me.) However, what this picture doesn't show is the layer of Ben Gay smothered on my back and the ache in my feet. It's not fun getting older.
