Curmudgeon

WHAT A LOAD OF RUBBISH! It is always encouraging to learn that one is not alone. At least 3000 people have now taken the trouble to object to the council’s totally irrational bin swap scheme. A Tameside resident, proving that not all Tamesider's are of the lemming persuasion, has opened an on-line petition stating logical objections to the scheme and questioning the council’s validity in introducing such nonsense. A seventy eight per cent success rate! Frankly, Tameside Council, that’s rubbish! Another p...

Curmudgeon: ANOTHER BOUT OF RHETORICAL POLITICAL CLAP-TRAP!

http://www.musingsofcurmudgeon.blogspot.com/2015/07/another-bout-of-rhetorical-political.html

ANOTHER BOUT OF RHETORICAL POLITICAL CLAP-TRAP! The bottom line is, I want to be heard in the corridors of power! Reading the ‘open letter’ to the people of Tameside and hearing reports of the Executive Leader and his side-kick’s usual recent speech to the full council, it’s clear that the main man made full use of this ritualised opportunity for another bout of rhetorical, clichéd riddled set-pieces. 8211; Ironically this is from a career councillor of some 31 years! Strangely though, they are nowhere t...

Curmudgeon: COUNCILLOR JOINS THE B.N.P. (Brain Not Present)

http://www.musingsofcurmudgeon.blogspot.com/2015/08/john-taylor-joins-bnp-brain-not-present.html

COUNCILLOR JOINS THE B.N.P. (Brain Not Present). So, John Taylor doesn't like the fact that the late Cilla Black liked Margaret Thatcher and the Tories! Charles Manson liked The Beatles …So what does that say? Ironically, according to his own website, we are led to believe that the Dukinfield lad likes Rock and Gothic Music,(which goes some way to explain his close-knit affiliations with Black Plastic Bin Liners) yet Gothic ideology is generally apolitical. I actually do believe that John Taylor is insane.

COUNCIL TAX UP AGAIN! I'm really sorry, but I need to put my hand in your pocket, again! Whilst most of Britain will enjoy a council tax freeze from April, we here in Tameside are once again being ‘shafted’ by Kieran Quinn and his gang after he announced that in two months our bills will go up by a cynical 1.9%! Significantly just a fraction below the 2% needed to avoid a local referendum on the decision! Per annum. - Not an insignificant amount! Just to remind you, t. He Government guidelines state that...

Curmudgeon: November 2014

http://www.musingsofcurmudgeon.blogspot.com/2014_11_01_archive.html

THEY WALK AMONG US! John Taylor appears to have developed a kind of sincerity beyond normal bounds, being that he is able to put his name to a premise in which he does not agree and then agrees with what he reads! This week, the focus of his one-sided observations fell on the NHS and the dreaded ‘threat’ of ‘privatisation’ - a debate which I predict will become more to the fore as we near the next General Election. John Taylor also missed out reminding us that it was none other than the Labour government...

a little piece of corrine

A little piece of corrine. But don't worry, there is plenty to go around. My 50 Cents on 50 Shades. cause I can't not have an opinion. Christian Grey is a messed up man. He really should be seeing a therapist to work through his issues. But he does not live in such a world; he lives in a world where brooding, domineering men are seen as mysterious and troubled. This does not excuse what he did at all. I've come to try and live my life by a quote I found last year:. Are they uplifting you? Are they helpin...

Musings of Mine

Thursday, May 28, 2009. The March of Dimes was created to raise money to cure polio. Many of us remember putting those little coins into slots in cardboard cards, which once filled, were sent to the March of Dimes to help other children avoid this deadly disease. In 1955 Dr. Jonas Salk created a vaccine against polio. The March of Dimes had achieved its goal, and therefore had no further reason to exist. But the organization did not “lay itself down.”. Once brought to life, they don’t want to die. Plus y...

Musings of a Crazy Redhead

Musings of a Crazy Redhead. August 16, 2015. Here Goes.Random Musings. Assorted Footprints" by Peter Griffin. I keep erasing what I'm going to write. Why should I erase anything if I plan on having it be random? Ah, but this must be methodical madness randomness. I'm debating about stuff to write. I have so many ideas that run through my brain. I mentioned this on Make a Living Writing blog. The editor, Carol Tice, said "triage.". I have to prioritize what to write. I've applied to several freelance jobs...

The Musings of Daisy's Progeny

The Musings of Daisy's Progeny. Monday, October 12, 2009. I haven't posted anything in a while. And sadly I am not going to take the time right now to write about all that is going on as I am not in the writing mood. Things are great though. The school year is off to an amazing start and things are running much more smoothly than last year. 1 Where is your cell phone? 5 Your favorite food? 6 Your dream last night? 7 Your favorite drink? 9 What room are you in? 12 Where do you want to be in 6 years? Poems, Songs and musings of Dave Cox

Poems, Songs and musings of Dave Cox. Snapshots of feelings, perceptions of reality, dreams, hopes, protests and connection with that which is. Sunday, May 3, 2015. More thoughts on thought. It's been a long time since I've posted anything out in the blog space, but I've had variations on this conversation several times in the last couple of weeks, and it feels like I should put this out there. Does it represent a threat? Can we eat it? Will it help me? Is she holding anything? Well, if you are carrying ...
