When we bought our home, there was a homemade swing already set up. It's not the prettiest setup, but it's been perfect for Taits and Ty. They each have their own swing, and they love it and so do I! Thanks to Nate's brother Andrew, we got our first tree planted in our backyard. It looks great! Make It and Love It.

Wednesday, January 7, 2015. Why We Aren't Adopting a Black Child. Racial tension and inequality is something I have always been aware of. Heck, I live in the deep south. The tension is there. But it has never had a direct affect on me. Until now, that is. When we made our decision to adopt, people gave their "oh wow. Bless your hearts for doing something so good" and their "congratulations! How old will they be? Roll in this social tug-o-war. So no, we aren't adopting a black. We are adopting a child.

We traveled in torrential downpour from Canterbury, Connecticut to Wellfleet, Massachusetts.
