Notes from the Peace Line: November 2009

http://notesfromthepeaceline.blogspot.com/2009_11_01_archive.html

Notes from the Peace Line. Wednesday, 11 November 2009. Take me to your leader. Imagine a set of doors without handles or metal plates with the word "push" above them, at the exit of a pharmacy. What would you do if they did not respond to you tapping your foot on the rubber mat in front of them? Stare dumbly at them for 30 seconds? Explain to the expectant queue behind you "Oh, well in America doors open on their own."? Now, I know that picking sides has led to some 800 years or so of conflict in Belfas...

Notes from the Peace Line: The Angry Mob

http://notesfromthepeaceline.blogspot.com/2010/01/angry-mob.html

Notes from the Peace Line. Tuesday, 26 January 2010. Works fairly well when you have a history with that young person and when you have their parent's number handy. Tonight though yelling didn't deter them and they just kept pushing and pushing. The only advantage I had was height while they had numbers. 28 January 2010 at 18:10. The old paramilitary dont want it because the dont want the publicity, right? But they will march, quietly intimidate, and work behind the scene? Am I close to how it works?

Notes from the Peace Line

http://notesfromthepeaceline.blogspot.com/2010/03/i-havent-posted-anything-in-awhile.html

Notes from the Peace Line. Thursday, 25 March 2010. I haven't posted anything in awhile, because really there isn't anything new to post and I haven't felt inspired by anything. The nightly riots stopped a few weeks ago, after a young person was arrested (see my previous post). The only interesting event in my neighborhood was a bomb scare awhile ago that closed down the main street for an afternoon and resulted in an increase in helicopters circling. The only other somewhat interesting. None of this is ...

Here is the true, open water-dwelling, plankton-eating. On the other hand, is actually a bottom-dwelling species. It inhabits algae praires where its dappled pattern provides perfect camouflage as it hunts the tiny gastropods, caprellids, amphipods and hyoliths that make up the majority of its diet. From the Pear Tree House. Monday, July 4, 2011. A few weeks ago Hubs and I travelled to Pennsylvania where we were visiting my parents. During our visit we went out to eat at Don Pablos, a mexican chain in the area. I ordered a Spinach and Pimento Enchilada dinner. I thought the meal was delicious with the spinach and peppers and onions all wrapped up and smothered with cheese and sour cream. I also thought that I could cook it better. 1 Red Bell Pepper. 2 Jalepeno peppers (seeded w/o ribs). Fill the tor...

Pharma Explained | Pharma. Not so big. Not so bad.

First it’s important to understand just how fortunate we are to have immune systems that recognize and protect us from pretty much any foreign invader, such as bacteria, viruses, and other pathogens. And for the most part it does a pretty good job of this. How do we normally remain tolerant of our own tissue?

Notes from the Piano. Friday, January 7, 2011. Musical Goals for 2011. I have been teaching piano for more than thirty years, but I am determined not to become the stereotypical blue-haired piano instructor, rapping her students' knuckles with a ruler or nodding off during lessons. I am committed to staying breast of current publications, teaching trends, and technology, as well as keeping up my own practice and performing when possible. MUSICAL GOALS FOR 2011. 8226; Practice piano one hour every day.
