Maura A. Smale. My main area of research is the academic culture of commuter college students. With Mariana Regalado of Brooklyn College I am the co-PI on the PSC-CUNY Grant-funded project The Scholarly Habits of Undergraduate Students. My other major research interest is the pedagogical use of game-based and interactive technologies in higher education. I am a member of the Steering Committee of the CUNY Games Network. A brainstorming card game to facilitate the creation of games for library instruction.
