Who Put the Mustard in My Custard?: November 2008

http://www.outofthecube.blogspot.com/2008_11_01_archive.html

November 14, 2008. Slowest fire drill in history? So, we're in a new building at work and today they decided to put us through our first fire drill. Now, before you think I'm all whiny, let me explain that I have been through many fire drills in previous buildings. None of them were like this. And this is the first time I've complained about a drill. Here's why:. You know how people often consider just hanging back and not leaving the building if they know it's not a real fire? It took twenty minutes!

Who Put the Mustard in My Custard?: August 2009

http://www.outofthecube.blogspot.com/2009_08_01_archive.html

August 18, 2009. I just got back from my play reading. It took place at a local director's house with professional actors and all I can say is that I am floating on a cloud right now. It was so great to see the play come to life! Not only was it a LOT of fun, but everyone loved the play! They loved the characters! Compliments were falling like a torrential. As corny as it sounds, I left feeling like I was put on this earth to write and I can't begin to tell you how absolutely wonderful that feels!

Who Put the Mustard in My Custard?: 1/3 of the way there

http://www.outofthecube.blogspot.com/2009/12/13-of-way-there.html

December 11, 2009. 1/3 of the way there. Well I didn't write much this week, but the week before I did, so I am now up to 14, 247 words on my children's novel. I plan to have a draft of 32,000 pages by December 31st. I am a little over 1/3rd of the way there. January 1st I will start rewrites of my screenplay which needs to be 100% done by May 1st as I am applying for a production grant. 32,000 pages is really thick for a childrens novel! Did you get my e-mail about the screenplays? 1/3 of the way there.

November 20, 2009. A cute pix of doggie and pals. Here's a cute picture of my doggie with her two stuffed friends. Links to this post. The best made plans. I had a request for one of my short scripts and just sent it to the director. Will let you know what I hear back. Links to this post. November 15, 2009. All in all good news, but I don't feel that I have been writing enough. It's mostly because I am too tired to be "creative," after a long work day, but I know that is no excuse. Who Put the Mustard in My Custard?: Almost there

http://www.outofthecube.blogspot.com/2009/12/almost-there.html

December 22, 2009. I am at 21,000 words! In other news, we still don't have our Christmas tree up yet. It is ridiculous, I know, but we have had so much going on lately. Hubby bought my an i phone for Christmas and let me have it early, as you only have so long till it can be returned etc. All I can say is that I am in love. I've been contemplating adding another doggie or a kitten to our family over the holidays. But then I think.what extra time do I have for it? December 23, 2009 at 4:01 AM.

Editorials, critiques, and otherwise searingly important comments from a young woman of innumerable opinions. Things Mothers Should Never Say. Me: God, I hate D.C. sometimes. Me: Too small. And apparently there's something about me that attracts homeless and drunken men. Me: Homeless men keep hitting on me on the subway! Editorials, critiques, and otherwise searingly important comments from a young woman of innumerable opinions. Good lord, has it really been over two months? You've got to love the way the time just flies by between Thanksgiving and Single's Awareness Day . oops, I mean Valentine's Day. Especially when the interim involves, besides the usual holiday festivities, the inauguration of the first African American president in the country. I have employment again! Yes, I know it's supposed to be the other way a...

Editorials, critiques, and otherwise searingly important comments from a young woman of innumerable opinions. Okay, I admit it. When I was a kid, I watched 'Saved By the Bell.' And I thought Zack Morris was highly date-able. Then again, I was eight. Sixteen years later, flipping between CNN and 'The Today Show', I run across the SbtB College Years series finale: the Zack/Kelly wedding! Amazing the thoughts that run through your head when you've just woken up and haven't had caffeine yet. 7) 'The Best Yea...

Editorials, critiques, and otherwise searingly important comments from a young woman of innumerable opinions. For Spring Break this year, the Goldring program (minus a few) went to Ireland, hitting up Dublin and Galway in about eight days. I'm working on chronicling the trip, but a very particular part of the trip stood out to me that I wanted to share. She asked me, and I told her I did. She asked to see it, and I gave it to her, marking for her the page that mentioned her shop. Straight off. Anthony Mi...

Editorials, critiques, and otherwise searingly important comments from a young woman of innumerable opinions. The World Series is over already? It feels like Opening Day was only a few weeks ago. Or maybe it's just the fact that the weather is exactly like it was on Opening Day that makes it seems so. I seem to have blinked and missed the fall. Editorials, critiques, and otherwise searingly important comments from a young woman of innumerable opinions. I find it rather amusing everybody seems to be going crazy in fear over the swine flu, especially considering that two weeks ago, nobody had ever even heard of it. Protecting you from this (did nobody thing that this was a great waste of energy, money, and paper? Look at this picture from Getty Images. It's laughable. Skit "I'm not dead!
