Pembrokeshire Coast Path 2007: Day 6 - Solva to Broad Haven
http://pembrokeshirecoastpath.blogspot.com/2008/02/day-6-solva-to-broad-haven.html
Pembrokeshire Coast Path 2007. Day 6 - Solva to Broad Haven. Monday 9th July 2007. 125 miles, 7 1/2 hours. Our run of good weather continued with yet another bright sunny start to the day. We left our bed and breakfast at about 9.30 and returned to the harbour to rejoin the coast path. The path leaves the harbour passing a well maintained series of lime kilns and up onto the Gribin ridge. Near the harbour entrance the path drops briefly into Gwadn bay. It was a shame to leave the beach behind. Howeve...
Pembrokeshire Coast Path 2007: Day 8 - Dale to Sandy Haven
http://pembrokeshirecoastpath.blogspot.com/2008/02/day-8-dale-to-sandy-haven.html
Pembrokeshire Coast Path 2007. Day 8 - Dale to Sandy Haven. Wednesday 11th July 2007. 13 miles, 7 hours. The cloud had cleared overnight and we woke to another beautifully sunny day. We left the bed and breakfast at about 9.30 and stopped off the café to pick up supplies before heading back across the footpaths to Westdale Bay. The redness of the cliffs was really noticeable against the bright blue of the sea. The pub looked tempting for a drink but we were a little behind our planned time and we wanted ...
Pembrokeshire Coast Path 2007: Day 1 - St Dogmaels to Newport
http://pembrokeshirecoastpath.blogspot.com/2007/09/day-1-st-dogmaels-to-newport.html
Pembrokeshire Coast Path 2007. Day 1 - St Dogmaels to Newport. 16 miles, 9 hours. We were dropped off at 9.30 at the unmarked start beside the landing stage at the northern end of St Dogmaels village. After our obligatory photo at the start we set off in light drizzle for the first of our 186 miles to Amroth. The first section was an easy walk along the road following the Teifi estuary. Despite the mistiness there were good views across the river towards Poppit sands. The rough water around the entrance ...
Pembrokeshire Coast Path 2007: Day 10 - Pembroke to Angle
http://pembrokeshirecoastpath.blogspot.com/2008/02/day-10-pembroke-to-angle.html
Pembrokeshire Coast Path 2007. Day 10 - Pembroke to Angle. Friday 13th July 2007. 125 miles, 8 1/2 hours (including visit to Pembroke Castle). We left our bed and breakfast just after 9 am. It was a bit drizzly as we set off along the high street towards the castle. It was to be a relatively short day to Angle so we decided to have a visit to the castle before leaving Pembroke. The visit was well worth while, however the rain which was heavy at times reduced the extent of our views from the top. From Pwl...
Pembrokeshire Coast Path 2007: Day 11 - Angle to Bosherston
http://pembrokeshirecoastpath.blogspot.com/2008/02/day-11-angle-to-bosherston.html
Pembrokeshire Coast Path 2007. Day 11 - Angle to Bosherston. Saturday 14th July 2007. 20 miles, 9 1/2 hours. It was a warm bright morning as we set off from the Old Point House pub at 9.30. As we headed away from Angle we had our last views of the industrial estuary of Milford Haven. Although it had been an interesting two days it was nice to be back to the coast and the sound of gulls and choughs once more. Across the estuary we could see Stack Rock fort and Dale just a short distance beyond. We reached...

Northumberland Inn Way 2008: Day 6 - Cragside House and Gardens
http://northumberlandinnway.blogspot.com/2008/10/day-6-cragside-house-and-gardens.html
Northumberland Inn Way 2008. 94 Miles, 48 Pubs. Day 6 - Cragside House and Gardens. We decided to take another day off walking the route. We had originally thought we would visit Cragside House and Gardens in Rothbury at the end of the walk, but after realising it is closed on Mondays we had to change our plan. Cragside was originally built as a holiday home and later extended to become his main residence. It was the first house to be powered by electricity, generated using water power. After lunch we co...

Another Suffolk Blog: September 2008
http://anothersuffolkblog.blogspot.com/2008_09_01_archive.html
Saturday, September 27, 2008. Orford - Castle and Ness. For a change this is a post about somewhere in Suffolk on my Suffolk Blog. Last weekend we took advantage of the great weather that's finally arrived and went for a day out to Orford. Here we were able to use our memberships in both the National Trust and English Heritage all in one day. We started out by going to the displays about the history of the area which is inside one of the old military buildings. The second trail we followed took us out to...

Another Suffolk Blog: October 2008
http://anothersuffolkblog.blogspot.com/2008_10_01_archive.html
Monday, October 20, 2008. With the perfect autumn weather we took a trip at the weekend to visit another nearby National Trust site - Anglesey Abbey near to Cambridge. Although the house looked lovely, we decided to miss this out today. With our NT membership we find that we tend to be more relaxed about visiting places and don't feel we have to rush and try to fit everything in. Lots of leaves on the ground too which were great to rustle through. A final shot which is now on the background of my computer.

Yorkshire Dales Inn Way 2008: Day 5 - West Burton to Kettlewell
http://yorkshiredalesinnway.blogspot.com/2008/08/day-5-west-burton-to-kettlewell.html
Yorkshire Dales Inn Way 2008. 76 Miles, 26 Pubs. Day 5 - West Burton to Kettlewell. 145 miles, 7 3/4 hours (including pub visits). We left West Burton at 9:45 on another bright sunny morning. The school children were sat out on the green for their lesson as we passed up the road. We followed the road along the pretty wooded Walden valley, gradually gaining height above the beck. We forded the stream of Fleemis Gill as it dropped into a little ravine. 18Thwaite Arms, Horsehouse. This road section continue...

Yorkshire Dales Inn Way 2008. 76 Miles, 26 Pubs. Day 4 - Reeth to West Burton. 125 miles, 7 1/4 hours (including pub visits and detour to Aysgarth Falls). Another bright sunny day as we set off from Reeth at 9:45am. We left the village passing by the church and headed through fields towards Grinton, following the route of the Coast to Coast path. We enjoyed our final views of the River Swale as we crossed the bridge into the village of Grinton. 14Bridge Inn, Grinton. As we left the moor behind we crossed...

http://yorkshiredalesinnway.blogspot.com/2008/08/day-6-kettlewell-to-grassington.html
Yorkshire Dales Inn Way 2008. 76 Miles, 26 Pubs. Day 6 - Kettlewell to Grassington. 135 miles, 7 3/4 hours (including pub visits). We left Kettlewell at 10:15 and headed out of the village climbing steeply up a track on to Conistone Moor. The path took on a more gradual ascent as it passed through a series of fields. This was a very quiet section, with only a few grazing sheep to be seen. We skirted above The Dib, a dry limestone valley which drops steeply down to Conistone. We followed Hebden Beck, flow...

Another Suffolk Blog: Another walk featuring many pubs and pictures
http://anothersuffolkblog.blogspot.com/2008/09/another-walk-featuring-many-pubs-and.html
Tuesday, September 16, 2008. Another walk featuring many pubs and pictures. Finally finished another blog reporting on a walk. This time it's the turn of "The Inn Way. to the Yorkshire Dales" which we walked back in May this year. http://anothersuffolkblog.blogspot.com/2007_10_01_archive.html
Saturday, October 13, 2007. A Saturday afternoon project. Take one corner of a garden. Add in two logs. Position birthday presents of:. 1 x Tin bath. 1 x Watering can. 1 x Copper pipe. 1 x Bag of stones. 1 x Solar powered pump. Tuesday, October 09, 2007. As the weather was reasonable and we had spent the weekend indoors completing our Inn Way report (yes it's finished! To read all 9 days and recommended B&B's in the Lake District) we decided to get outside and find a few geocaches. Again the name contain...

Another Suffolk Blog: New walk report added
http://anothersuffolkblog.blogspot.com/2008/11/new-walk-report-added.html
Thursday, November 20, 2008. New walk report added. Over on the side there - - - -. Pictures and report on Hadrian's Wall path. Is finished. The next report is already underway, the Cumbria Way, which we walked straight after Hadrian's Wall (the two link together nicely). My mom and I have wanted to walk the wall for ages - i'll definitely point her to your site! 20 November 2008 at 10:40. I would really recommend it. There's so much to see, and the variety in countryside is wonderful.
