http://karlandjosblog.blogspot.com/2011/10/ski-touring-murchison-and-tasman.html
Tuesday, October 25, 2011. Ski touring the Murchison and Tasman Glaciers. This trip on the glaciers around Mt Cook has been on our to-do list for a while. We were lucky enough this past long weekend to get into this region for some great weather and skiing. Touring up to Mt Phyllis. Murchison Glacier below. On Mt Phyllis. The next day we head over Tasman Saddle which is in the background. Weather coming over the continental divide. On top of Tasman Saddle. The Minarets in the background.

Friday, August 26, 2011. Pedro offers you his protection. Monday, August 22, 2011. San Francisco and Yosemite. After a crazy 3 weeks in New York for me and busy week flying around Canada for Jo, we met up in San Francisco for a bit of R and R before heading back to NZ. Coffee drinking by the Bay Bridge. Yosemite is crazy busy in summer. But the higher you hike, the less the crowds are. Yosemite point with Half Dome behind. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Grant and Heathers Blog. Aric and Jens blog.

Karl and Jo's blog: October 2010
http://karlandjosblog.blogspot.com/2010_10_01_archive.html
Tuesday, October 26, 2010. The forecast for the long weekend started out looking pretty good. However, the closer it got, the worse it started to look. Being the optimists that we are, we decided to roll the dice and lug our ski gear up to Brewster Hut with the hope of making it onto the glacier. Toni and Andy joined us and made a summit bid on Mt Armstrong. A hot, sunny and sand fly infested car park. On the way up to the hut. Evening on the deck. Sunset on Saturday evening. Wednesday, October 20, 2010.

Monday, July 18, 2011. Last week the snow finally arrived. This past weekend we headed out behind Cardrona in search of the goods. Below the cloud the conditions were marginal. Karl and Jo's blog: November 2010
http://karlandjosblog.blogspot.com/2010_11_01_archive.html
Monday, November 01, 2010. The days are getting longer and warmer and that means that the little snow left in the mountains is fast disappearing. For the last turns of the year we headed up to Ohau ski field. The nice people at the lodge give you a key for the gate if you give them 5 bucks. Seems fair. Han and I laid some tracks down a nice little chute. Great way to finish the season. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Grant and Heathers Blog. Aric and Jens blog. Paddy and Jills blog. http://karlandjosblog.blogspot.com/2010_09_01_archive.html
Sunday, September 05, 2010. For the past few weekends we have met up with Bob and Laurie to go skiing, however, have not had such good luck with the weather or snow conditions. This weekend we headed to Roundhill with hopes of epic powder. The powder wasn't epic, but it was still a lovely day. Oh yea, and there was an earthquake. Me laying in a rad powder turn. Breaking a sweat on the up track. Some nice turns by Jo. Thanks for the great times, we will miss you guys. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Sunday: The sun was out and the skiing was good. Jo straight lining it. Tuesday, July 12, 2011. Finally got the planks on snow this last weekend at Ohau. Still early season conditions, aka, rocky as heck. But at least the forecast looks promising. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Grant and Heathers Blog. Aric and Jens blog.
