Just a crazy math teacher turned instructional coach. Middot; professional development. Middot; teaching resources. Musings about Assessing and Advancing Questions. January 30, 2016. January 30, 2016. But after hashing it out and then actually teaching the lesson, I realized that all of the planning was the best thing I could have possibly done for my students’ learning! So, any advice on how to help teachers see it as a valuable tool? What are your thoughts about it in general? Has anyone used it before?

Ft Worth is a wonderful town. Day 2 also provided many great sessions and speakers as you will see below. General Session: The Power of Thinking. Vision ( See myself doing the math). Pattern (Applications- See and Understand the Patterns…. they are what last). Connections Between Socrates, Pythagoras, Gauss, and Polya.

Conference for the Advancement of Mathematics Teaching) in Ft Worth, TX. Each morning I spent driving an hour to the conference – an easy drive. A blog about the ubiquity of mathematics and science in the middle school world. October 4, 2014. The first six weeks of school have come and gone. Teaching two subjects has been so inspiring and mind bending! But don’t you wish for do-overs? 8230; Teach a lesson…. think it through… and then BAM! 8212; “I should have done it that way”! 8230; Any time now! Next week we jump into Non-Proportional topics. What better way will it be than trying out Mathalicious’. And let me throw out how great Kahoot it.
