FotM - July Edition and Giveaway Winners! Here we are for the end of July (gasp) installment of the Flower of the Month SAL as hosted by Alyssa at Brownie's Chair. Before it got hotter than hot I did manage to finish April's Sweet Peas. Despite the abundance of pink, this one was a very enjoyable stitch! April: Sweet Pea" freebie pattern by Ellen Maurer-Stroh, found here. 2 over 1 on 14-count ecru huck towel (called for 3 over but I thought 2 looked okay). Started: June 22, Finished: July 4. 11 hours.

November MMMM #4 (Final). Well, here we are on the last MMMM post for November already. Mrs. Frankenstein is finally finished (about dang time). Gosh, I did worse this month than last month. Only one finish, and it wasn't even that big! I think there are three different blacks in her hair as I was rummaging through my old kit remains. At least they were all mostly created equal which may be very lucky on my part! Short entry this time! Am I ever going to be productive again? Friday, November 28, 2014.

ishkabibble: February TUSAL
http://rosey175.blogspot.com/2015/02/february-tusal.html
It was one of those. Days, you know? Those days when you drop your phone in (spicy) soup. And then get (spicy) soup in your eye trying to quickly dismantle said phone. Clean up, twice, after a naughty kitten. My husband sensed that I might be having an off sort of day and suggested we go out to eat for supper and that I might be okay with staying on the couch for the rest of the day, haha. Anywhoodle these are trivial inconveniences because WE GOT SNOW. :D. As hosted by Daffycat! How does that work?

What, it's only a week late, shhhh. I didn't do much over the weekend. Lately my husband has been working tons of overtime with us waking up at 5am 6 days a week. We are both sooo not early birds even though it's better to accomplish things while it's so cool in the morning. I finished my larger, secret gift and am still in the planning stages of my next gift so I wanted something quick and morale-boosting. Roses, not female anatomy! FotM - June Edition! Here we are for my June installment of the Flower of the Month SAL as hosted by Alyssa at Brownie's Chair. And I have emerged victorious! The February Violets are finally done! I can't believe I had so much trouble with this particular design. I suppose it was as Preeti said, so many color changes! I have looked over the remaining patterns and it looks like the rest are not nearly as involved as this one. whew. And here's the GIF of this project! Where the collection now stands.

March TUSAL, IHSW(? I am completely timely, right? Well, at least I have a good excuse this time. This past week was our 2nd anniversary so my husband took some much needed time off and we disappeared! We went to stay with a couple of good friends and explored a different part of the US, lazed about their house with video games, and visited not one, but two. First off, welcome to my new followers! I will admit to being completely derpy about this month's IHSW! But cross stitch stores! I picked up two fab...

Giveaway, the FINISHED (for now)! Hello again, world! Image found through Google search. I'm a little late with this post, today was somewhat busy. I'll dive right in with the giveaway winner: Tiki at Tiki Stitches. I have decided to not offer up the crewelwork kit so I'm sorry if anyone was looking forward to that! Buuut I have a question for you more experienced stitchers! DMC Light Effects floss is metallic, right? Are there similar "sparkly" floss types that aren't metallic? The other end :). Apologi...
