Striding for a Cure. During Confirmation class, we were told to be thinking of an idea for a service project. In a sudden revelation, McQuaid, inspired by the Relay for Life, blurted out "running4change. I mean both ways." Mosca then replied, "THATS SICK! Nolan was awestruck at the idea as well. The trio tried out different slogans such as "Run4Fun'd" and "Finding a Cure; One Step at a Time", but they all did not have the same effect in which the original had struck them.

Striding for a Cure. L-R: Stephen McQuaid, Nolan Allen, XC friend, Michael Mosca. For confirmation, we had a close friend or relative serve as our sponser, offering guidence and someone to talk to. My aunt served as my sponser. I had learned that her late husband, Ted Harrington, had passed at the age of 24 due to cancer. 2008 is the 25th anniversary. This project only seems fitting.
