Thoughts from my adventures on the pavement and in the kitchen. August 20, 2012. A tale of two races. So I’m finally returning to the blog after another long hiatus can you guess what’s brought me back this time? Yeah, it’s another race recap. To be more accurate, it’s a DOUBLE race recap. That’s right. Over the last week, I ran two races: the Toronto 10-miler. 161km) last Sunday and the Midsummer Night’s Run. 30km) this past Saturday night. Why worry, you ask? And I was right. This was my first time run...

https://runningafterbalance.wordpress.com/2012/11/03/we-run-for-mj-detroit-half-marathon-recap

Thoughts from my adventures on the pavement and in the kitchen. November 3, 2012. We run for MJ: Detroit half-marathon recap. A few weekends back, I traveled to Detroit for two awesome reasons. One: to run a half-marathon. And two: to visit my beautiful friend Najette and her family. And the most awesome part? We were all running together, in memory of her mother who passed away earlier this year of cancer. Melinda (MJ) was diagnosed with a rare form known as primary peritoneal cancer (PPC). We run for MJ.

Thoughts from my adventures on the pavement and in the kitchen. May 14, 2012. I (finally) ran the Sporting Life 10k. Hello, long-lost readers! I trust you’re all keeping well. As you can tell by the title of my last post, I didn’t exactly complete the 30 Day Photo Challenge. Life got crazy, the camera on my phone crapped out for a few days, and then I just lost momentum. I did love the concept though. Will probably give it a whirl again in the future. It’s the return of the race recap. I have no idea how...

Running after 60

Saturday, April 21, 2012. I'm not sure how to write this blog so I thought I would just go day by day of our trip to Boston and the race! Running after Babies

Do you read running magazines? August 12, 2015. If you’re reading this blog, then I’m assuming that you’re a blog reader. More specifically, a running blog reader. I’m curious though – with all the information you can now get for free from the internet, do you still pay for things like running magazines? Are you also a magazine reader? I ask because I’ve been trying to figure out if I’m a magazine reader myself. Honestly, I’m pretty sure that I would have told you that I’m not. Also a magazine reader?

In Pursuit of Childlike Faith. Meditations of a Heart Seeking to Know His Heart. I want to always seek to know the Lord better. I know at times it can be unappealing or inconvenient to me, and I have failed more times than I can count. But He is pursuing me, ever spurring me on to pursue Him. 8220;Let us know; let us press on to know the LORD; his going out is sure as the dawn; he will come to us as the showers, as the spring rains that water the earth.” – Hosea 6:3.
