skullandpelvis – Knowing Myself in Motion

Knowing Myself in Motion. Training with a chronic illness. I am just back from the climbing gym. Once again, I am suddenly climbing significantly harder than I have been: harder grades, more climbs in a session and a longer session. It is so exciting to move this fluidly and freely. Not just because I am progressing and progress is awesome (I am definitely a part of the Aim for progress not perfection camp! March 25, 2016. Posted in athletic training. Running in the rain. Dancing with Courage – Knowing Myself in Motion
https://runninglyme.wordpress.com/2015/05/11/dancing-with-courage
Knowing Myself in Motion. Training with a chronic illness. I saw Alvin Ailey Dance Company perform at UC Berkeley’s Zellerbach Hall. I danced at Cal, and in my college years, I spent a lot of time at Zellerbach, watching performances and the rehearsals and master classes of the touring companies. My classes were held down the street, in an old wooden church at the edge of campus that had been converted into the most gorgeous dance space I have ever been in. May 11, 2015. And tagged alvin ailey. You are c...

Reiki + Qigong. Pilates + CoreAlign. Bio + Publications. I think that CranioSacral sessions are exquisite- the work is subtle and gentle but the relief and healing is profound and lasting. After session, I feel so much better: greater ease of motion, more vitality and the benefits I get from sessions compounds when I get consistent sessions.

Reiki + Qigong. Pilates + CoreAlign. Bio + Publications. I teach pilates on the mat and on the equipment and, in a single hour-long session, train on several different pieces of equipment to challenge and support the body in a variety of ways. I also teach on the CoreAlign. Which is a complementary system to pilates and deeply challenges core muscles, balance and integrated strength. I am a certified TRX instructor, and often integrate TRX into pilates/CoreAlign sessions. I also have exper...

Reiki + Qigong. Pilates + CoreAlign. Bio + Publications. Energy sessions are hugely transformative and wonderful when going through life transitions. They refresh people who are burned out, ease people out of negative behavior patterns and bring true compassion and joy into life. As well, energy work promotes healing on physical levels and is great for calming the body after sports, mitigating the effects of allopathic medicine, working through chronic illnesses. In my energy sessions,.

Bio + Publications - Michelle Wallace Wellness
http://www.michellewallacewellness.com/bio--publications.html
Reiki + Qigong. Pilates + CoreAlign. Bio + Publications. I am a Reiki master, CranioSacral therapist, Qigong practitioner, pilates instructor. A friend gifted me a Reiki session, before I even understood what “energy work” meant. I went, and after my first session, I felt, for the first time in my memory, rested. I returned to the clinic weekly and slowly but surely my symptoms dissipated. I had hope and joy again. I knew how much Reiki helped me and it was thrilling to see it help others,...

Shut Up And Run
Shut Up And Run. When running becomes an addiction. Buone feste e ovviamente buona corsa a tutti! Dopo la lunga a...

Josh Lunn - Running Blog
Josh Lunn - Running Blog. Saturday, 2 March 2013. Right, I haven't posted a blog in a while as I was struggling to find time to update it on a weekly basis. Also not helped by breaking my Garmin, twice! So I've now got a new Garmin and thought would what be easier is to give an update on a larger amount of time. For the race itself I was still slightly doubtful of my groin as there was still some discomfort but after a good warm up it was okay. I finished in 15:57, which was a PB for me and with the ...

Knowing Myself in Motion. Training with a chronic illness. In the absence of fear. Of course, the pain and dysfunction had little to do with my athletic injuries and everything to do with undiagnosed Lyme Disease. August 11, 2015. August 11, 2015. This time, sitting in the theater at the first dance show I’ve been to in nearly a decade, I was moved. In watching the dances, it felt like my limits were expanded. As if my understanding of humanity and of what I can ask of my body were opened up, ten...What ...
