Thoughts on running, fitness, healthy living, and life's many adventures! July 16, 2015. Wow, what a busy past few days. I feel like I say that all the time, but my last five days were spent with seven other adults and eight children under the age of eight all sharing one house! So I really mean it this time. 😉. But truth be told, I haven’t been as “clean” as I would have liked to this week. What can I say – my friends like to bake and cook! M – 30 minutes core 60 minutes total body strength. I feel lik...

Thoughts on running, fitness, healthy living, and life's many adventures! Happy 4th Workout Recaps. July 6, 2015. I hope you all enjoyed a lovely holiday weekend. Ours was jam packed. I’ll start with the good. On Friday evening, we had our old neighbors over to our new home for dinner. Leaving them behind was the absolute worst part about moving, so it was nice to see them again, and catch up a bit! It was one of those “bed time can’t come fast enough” days! And finally my last bad, I indulged a little t...

My adventures in running and life! You are here: Home. Pushing as hard for recovery as I do for speed. Pushing as hard for recovery as I do for speed. July 16, 2015. I mentioned before in my last post that this training cycle is different than any I have done in the past for several reasons. In the plan I am using there are 2 “recovery runs” a week. For the most part they are all 5 mile runs. One thing the book emphasizes is resisting the urge to do these runs too fast. Working just as hard at my recover...

Running MOMentum | Views of a mommy and marathon runner
Views of a mommy and marathon runner. 3rd Birthday Under Construction. With my oldest, I’ve always said every new age and stage is a favorite, but so far I’m really loving three. My son can dress himself, put his shoes on, get his own snack, buckle himself into the carseat (we always double-check), and is completely potty-trained. It certainly makes life with 2 little boys that much easier! So there was a big reason to celebrate turning 3. :). He was very excited to wake up as a 3-year-old! Sage gets int...

Running Momma
My adventures as a wife, attorney and mother of 2 trying to qualify for Boston. Sunday, July 22, 2012. Ladies and gentlemen, I survived week one of Philly training. Ok, I more than survived; I finished every run feeling damn near perfect. Yay for an entire week with no crappy runs! Thursday - did the easy run I was supposed to do Wednesday. Saturday - 10 miles Sunday - 5 miles, including 4 miles of "hills". Yep, the quotes are back. That means treadmill inclines yet again. Aren't I lucky? I think 90% of ...
