About all the wonderful friends I saw and spent time with? The superstars I collared for a photo? Or just the race? To do well, to run strong, to. Jess – my wonderful hostess upon ar...

Staying in the wilderness, or not chasing that goal. April 26, 2013. I really don’t know what to write here. I’m writing to gain some clarity rather than to present you with an overall edited view of the past 2 weeks, as I really don’t know what I think or feel. Walking towards the green start. Waiting around at the start, spending my time endlessly queuing for the loo. I was met by lovely friends afterwards and my wonderful husband and feted and admired and looked after. I got such lovely texts and ...

Staying in the wilderness, or not chasing that goal. A race, interrupted training and the new year. January 11, 2015. So I ran the race. And I loved it. I never really understand that I don’t race much, have to be coaxed into racing and then when I do it I love it. Why do I resist doing something I enjoy? Most times (London 2013 was an exception) I am beaming from ear to ear,… Continue reading A race, interrupted training and the new year. Middot; next marathon. December 5, 2014. December 5, 2014. Life Through the Eye of a Runner: July 2012
http://lifethroughtheeyeofarunner.blogspot.com/2012_07_01_archive.html
Life Through the Eye of a Runner. Sunday, July 29, 2012. Napping at Speedgoat 50K. I arrived at race morning dog tired, having missed a lot sleep in the last two weeks. Plus stressed about work, since I smashed my car a couple of weeks ago and have been fixing it. But I can deal with anything right? So most important is where do I choose to go from here. I'll share what I wrote in 2008 after my first big ultra failure. Our failures define us just as much as our successes. Friday, July 27, 2012. 50 Mile 6...

My first race was on Saturday and went okay I was 6th overall and 3rd Master. It was cool to make to podium for Masters. 2600 ' of vertical in 4K, and snow. Like 3' at the top.
