Wednesday, June 23, 2010. This day we kayaked to " Secret Falls". We kayaked several miles down the river and took about a mile hike to the falls, which is no longer a secret! After lunch, we went on another hike to Kipu Falls. The boys took their first jump off the 20 foot falls (we know its that tall because some guy was measuring it). Monday, August 17, 2009. Hard to Let Go! The kids started school today. Its hard to believe that all three of them are in school now and I no longer have little ones at home. It was hard letting Kella go, but she was so excited! She told me last night that she can't believe that she is going to a real school to learn really important things! Thursday, January 21, 2010. When I Grow Up. First up is dentistry. Lucky for me, she chose Ryan as her patient! She went through a stage where she was giving everyone a pedicure complete with foot soak and massage. This sign is hanging on her door. Next came an artist. Her bedroom had every wall covered in the art she created and every night she had an art sale. If we were good during the day she would give us tickets to come and purchase her pictures. Wednesday, March 17, 2010. Signs that he's an emerging teenager:. He is soooo grumpy in the morning. No one is allowed to talk to him! On that note, he thinks he should be able to stay up until 10 on school nights and 12 on weekends. His new favorite must have item: Axe, the spray on kind! Thinks he knows everything! Girls are now "hot". He will ask me a question, I will respond and then he will look at me like I am an idiot! Needs a cell phone, wants a cell phone, MUST HAVE a cell phone!

Mothering by the seat of my pants. Friday, August 5, 2011. This kid is almost 8. Also, this kid has not lost a tooth yet. In fact, he has his adult teeth growing in behind his baby teeth. So I scheduled a dental pulling. I actually talked him into thinking having them pulled is way better because the tooth fairy gives you more. Here he is showing his "shark" tooth.
