I am Sarah’s younger sister – the girl who stares blankly at you as you wave and yell “Hi, Sarah! 8221; as we pass each other running in Central Park. Nice to meet you! Since her last update, Sarah has been busy running the city and the shore as well – the Jersey Shore, specifically. She cruised to a 5 mile PR and victory at the Belmar 5 on July 12th, running 27:44 and successfully defending last year’s title. So, here goes – a typical Tuesday:. Teammate ...

The RTW (Guest Post). Lil sis Maris back on the blog here! In my last post. We took a look at a day in the life. This time around, the spotlight is on runner jargon and abbreviations we create ourselves! What is a RTW? Lastly, a buddy since the RTW can get pretty lonely and the temptation to snooze and reset your alarm for that post-work run is always looming, it’s essential (or pretty nearly) to know you’ve got a friend, teammate, or sister joining you in the morning. Need you think the RTW is always fl...

Sunday, November 30, 2014. 12 miles with down Ladder workout of 10-5-3-1-:30 on and 3-2-1-:30 min off at increasingly faster paces. 20 mile long run in 6:51 average. 3 days in Greenville, NC. For the first time ever, Garrett and I wore our Varsity Letterman jackets as well as our class rings that we received for being varsity athletes at Wake. I'm actually quite sad that I had not busted out my Letterman jacket until now because, damn, that jacket is warm! Posted by Caitlin Chrisman. 14 mile EZ long run.

The Jaunting Journalist: March 2015

http://thejauntingjournalist.blogspot.com/2015_03_01_archive.html

Friday, March 27, 2015. Week 5: 40 Beers 40 Nights (Pioneer Week). There’s an attitude among beer nerds (snobs? I live in New York City and that makes it easy for me to find a wide variety of beers. I've learned that if there is something I want a store in some hipster neighborhood or some weirdo on the internet will have it. Not everyone is so lucky. In some places Sierra Nevada is as crafty as it gets and that’s just fine because Sierra Nevada still makes really good beer. 8211; Stone Brewing Company.

The Jaunting Journalist: Long race = long recap

http://thejauntingjournalist.blogspot.com/2012/03/long-race-long-recap.html

Monday, March 19, 2012. Long race = long recap. What if I ran too many miles last week? I had only run two races in 2012, and the longest one was four miles. This was 13.1! I thought about my last half-marathon. Which was a disaster. Before I knew it, it was 5:30am. I got up, downed a banana, an English muffin with peanut butter and a glass of water. Then, I laced up my shoes, and headed out the door to run to Central Park. The three mile trip to the park would have to do. It was sort of like that. T...
