Some proved a whole lot harder to survey than others, and some - Willow Warbler, Garden Warbler and Reed Bunting spring to mind - hardly troubled the scorers. However, there was no shortage of Wrens (the commonest species surveyed), Robins, Great Tits or Blackcaps. Many thanks to James Heal for producing such a very fine map. Tim Harris, August 2015. Stu's sounds of Wanstead. Epping Forest: Its birds. Edward North Buxton (192. Usually the second thing that alerts you to the presence of a Kingfisher is an aquamarine flash of energy speeding across your line of sight. Why does Wanstead Park have Kingfishers? Tim Harris, April 2012. RED KIT...

Stu's sounds of Wanstead. Epping Forest: Its birds. Edward North Buxton (192. Catcher in the Fly. Looked promising today. Still looked promising today by the time I got to the Alex and still hadn't seen anything really worthwhile–a half-a-dozen Willow Warbler not quite what I was hoping for, and a female Shoveler very nice but. That news even brought Bob out of his house. Pied Fly, SSSI: Dan H. Tuesday, August 11, 2015. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Other London sites under threat of extinction.
