We live, in fact, in a world starved. For solitude, silence, and private:. And therefore starved for meditation. And true friendship." -C.S. Lewis. Each finger painting, playing-with-dolls, dinosaur attack and laughing spell that comes my way I want to savor. In a clean house. School is home for us, and I want to embrace it. Somebody looks a bit sleepy. 160; I’m not sleepy! Kinsey being silly.  Tyler fixin’ to get in trouble. Daddy hurt my feelings! It’s all good now.  :). You want a piece of this? This massi...

Friday, January 30, 2009. First Teeth… Finally. Tyler got his first and second tooth on January 21st and 22nd at 10 1/2 months. I was able to get a picture of them today. He wasn’t too excited about showing them, but I was determined. He’s sick so that added a little more discontentment into the mix. Poor guy. :(. Here’s my poor sick Baby Boy. He looks so pitiful and is not feeling very macho today. (Those carrots probably aren’t helping with the orange nose either). Thursday, January 29, 2009. I’v...

Monday, February 23, 2009. Dedicated to my Dad. I’d like to dedicate this post to my Dad who is an incredible craftsman.  One of his hobbies is taking antiques that are just piles of garbage and unrecognizable and reworking them to their original or better than their original beauty.  We are so very lucky to be able to benefit from his workmanship! 160; Here are three of our favorite pieces that he has redone. . The Texas Nelsons: March 2009

http://thetexasnelsonclan.blogspot.com/2009_03_01_archive.html

Monday, March 9, 2009. Lil Man’s First Birthday. We celebrated Tyler’s birthday at home with just the four of us.  It wasn’t quite as festive as Kinsey’s first, but it was nice to relax and enjoy the day stress free.  Well, almost stress free. Anyone who knows me at all knows that I have the ability to insert stress into the most unlikely events.  :). Kinsey was glad to help! Push that button, Daddy. Kinsey has to test it out to make sure it works first. 160; I got paper! My sweet baby boy.
