Seoul Searching

Wednesday, May 11, 2011. Brandon and I live in a smaller city surrounded by rice fields. Although Korea is known to be 70% mountainous, these two hikers are placed right in the middle of Pyeongtaek (. A city known for its rice. Now why’s that such a bad thing? Well, to grow rice you need a bunch of flat fields, which is exactly what. Needless to say, there’s not a mountain in sight. Brandon and me with the rice fields right outside our apartment (September 2010). Friday, May 6, 2011. FFF (32)- 오월 Holidays.

Seoul Searching: February 2011

http://seoulsearching-alex.blogspot.com/2011_02_01_archive.html

Sunday, February 27, 2011. Is a unique country, filled with a variety of ethnic backgrounds, religions, and geographical layouts. Unfortunately, we indulged in only one of those many topographical layouts- the metropolitan. Although, I felt somewhat removed from the city life, despite the tall buildings and the city buses bustling through the streets. Within an hour or so of exploring the metropolis it became quite apparent-. Not surprising for a city whose country owns the world’s oldest rainforest.

Seoul Searching: WWW (28)- Months

http://seoulsearching-alex.blogspot.com/2011/05/www-28-months.html

Wednesday, May 4, 2011. Although I tend to think that a lot of Koreans lack common sense (if you lived here for a year you would probably agree), they also do some things that just make complete sense. In Hangeul, the months are one of those things that just makes sense. Since you learned the days of the week last week, we’re moving on to something that was much. Easier for me to learn (as it just makes sense). If you haven’t caught on yet,. For instance, January is. That was much easier than the days!

Seoul Searching: October 2010

http://seoulsearching-alex.blogspot.com/2010_10_01_archive.html

Friday, October 29, 2010. After being in Korea for two days shy of two months now, I’ve realized how giving Koreans are. Fact: Koreans LOVE to throw gifts at you, and it’s nearly impossible to say no, so it’s inevitable that you will be saying “Kam sa ham ni da”. Take for example today at school. After teaching my classes with me, my co-teacher offered Brandon some South American tea. He kindly declined, but of course this wasn’t enough. Bianca: Are you sure? Brandon: Yes, yes. I’m ok, but thank you.

Friday, September 24, 2010. Fun Fact Fridays (1). So I’ve decided to include a new feature on my blog to help my lovely readers become more cultured. Every Friday, I plan on posting a fun fact. Now this may be about Korea, an upcoming event for the following week, an event that already occurred, a country I intend to visit, or just completely random if I have nothing else to offer. In an attempt to explain myself, I would like to share with you this little fun fact about Korea and hiking-. I am proud of ...

Not All Those Who Wander Are Lost. Hidden Treasures: 8 1/2 *UPDATED*. February 17, 2015. Seoul is chockfull of tiny little restaurants, cafes and boutiques.
