On the way to Luang Prabang from China, we stopped at an outdoor pool hall for dinner. At the next table there was a man smoking a cigarette out of a steam roller. Vang Vieng, Laos. Postcards from Korea: March 2008

http://postcardsfromkorea.blogspot.com/2008_03_01_archive.html

Monday, March 31, 2008. I think after last night's dinner of octopus, I could eat just about anything in the whole world. Tuesday, March 25, 2008. This is what I picked up for dinner tonight on the way home from school at a food stall. The cost was $2. It's called tteokbokki. It consists of spicy rice rolls and fish sausage. It was quite good. It's cheaper to eat out than it is to cook! And it's easier and you get to explore the city and the Korean culture when you eat out. Monday, March 24, 2008. A popu...

Postcards from Korea: March 2009

http://postcardsfromkorea.blogspot.com/2009_03_01_archive.html

Monday, March 30, 2009. I'm in Hong Kong now. Nicole and I took an 11 hour sleeper bus and arrived yesterday morning. We are staying for free with a friend of a friend, which is good because Hong Kong seems really expensive after traveling through the mainland which is dirtcheap. So, Hong Kong is by far the best city I have ever been to. Remember how much I loved Tokyo? Wednesday, March 25, 2009. Wednesday, March 18, 2009. Greetings from West Lake! Okay, that's all for now. How about all of you?

It has kittens, puppies, owls, monkeys, etc. crammed into cages - all for human consumption. So, screw dim sum, I'm having a puppy for breakfast! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Seoul, South Korea.

Wednesday, May 11, 2011. Brandon and I live in a smaller city surrounded by rice fields. Although Korea is known to be 70% mountainous, these two hikers are placed right in the middle of Pyeongtaek (. A city known for its rice. Now why’s that such a bad thing? Well, to grow rice you need a bunch of flat fields, which is exactly what. Needless to say, there’s not a mountain in sight. Brandon and me with the rice fields right outside our apartment (September 2010). Friday, May 6, 2011. FFF (32)- 오월 Holidays.

Not All Those Who Wander Are Lost. Hidden Treasures: 8 1/2 *UPDATED*. February 17, 2015. Seoul is chockfull of tiny little restaurants, cafes and boutiques. Wednesday, May 14, 2014. So i guess this will be my last post here about Seoul, South Korea. It's been several days since I posted. So I will pick up where I left off. Sunday was very relaxed. We then had dinner, and shortly after, went to bed. Sixth grade students saying goodbye:. English department gloing-away dinner:. Posted by Ethan Hughes @ 7:44 PM.

Wednesday, August 6, 2008. A time of readjustment. As you may have guessed, I am back in Minnesota. Actually, a couple days after I landed back in the states I drove up north to Grand Marais with my parents for the week. We take this little jaunt every summer, so luckily even with my 6 month get-away we were able to head to Lake Superior once again. Didi stayed kept an eye on the house for us. ;).
