Snippets of life in mission by the Johnson family. We are an American family of 4 from Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania who, in trying to follow God's call to serve Him wherever He might lead us, have found ourselves living in West Africa! Knowing that the Lord wanted to use our interest in international missions for His purposes, we applied and were accepted by SIM. In 2005 to serve as long-term missionaries. Our current (and first) assignment with SIM has us living in Mahadaga. Get to Know Us a Little!

Walsh Family in Burkina Faso Since 2007. We discovered Burkina Faso during student mission trips through the Collaboratory at Messiah College starting in 1998. We moved to our village of Mahadaga with our son Thomas in 2007. We started out working with the Centre for the Advancement of the Disabled and spent our first five years helping to strengthen the activities of the Centre and to build up a leadership team of local Christians to run the Centre long-term.
